Nate's POV.

"What do you mean she's getting married?" asked Andrew, as we were sitting on our usual booth in Joe's Bar, "Exactly that." I replied, taking a sip from my glass of whisky. "You're kidding right." said Jack, I shook my head, "God knows how much I wish I was." I replied, still shaking my head, "You know what she said? She said, it was love at first sight. She said even with just one look, she knew he was the one." I shared, feeling tears threatining to spill from the corner of my eye, I quickly wiped it off, not wanting anyone to notice.

"Wait. We're still talking about the same girl right. Your best friend Ryanne. Right? We're still talking about her. Right?" Andrew asked, sounding really confussed, I nodded, "Yeah Andrew, we're still talking about Ryanne." I replied. "Wait. So let me get this straight, your best friend, who never believed with anything to do with love, for almost her entire life, is getting married. And she says its love at first sight." said Jack, trying to process all these newly gained information aloud. I nodded with a sigh, "Yes." I said, kind of tired of explaining all these shit to them. "Well that was some crazy shit Nate." he said, making me chuckle, finally, they get it, "I know. Tell me about it." I replied. "And it sucks. And frustrating and painful." I complained.

"When's the wedding?" asked Andrew, "Two weeks. In Glendale" I replied with a shrug. "Oooh. These must be tought times for you Nate" he said, "Yeah, I mean there goes all your dreams of marrying her, out of the window." added Jack. I gave Jack the death stare, "Shut up Jack. You reminding all of my shattered dreams aren't really helping." I tell him, making him chuckle a bit. "So what's your plan?" asked Jack, "What do you mean plan?" I asked, not quite understanding what he just said, "You know. I mean, you're not seriously just gonna sit there and just watch your bestfriend, the girl of your dreams, your true love, get married to a guy she just met and barely knows right." explained Jack. "What do you want me to do? Stand up when the preacher asked who is opposed to their union?" I sarcastically asked. "Yeah. That's one thing you could do, you could also poison Zack, right before the wedding." he replied with a shrug, "Oh c'mon guys, surely there's a less scadalous and more civilized way to show Ryanne that you love her and that you're the one for her, than just completely ruining the wedding or murdering her groom." said Andrew, "You guys are right." I tell them, realizing that they are right, I shouldn't just sit here and watch Zack win her, I need to fight back, I need to win her, or at least try to win her.

"So, I ask again, what's the plan big man?" asked Jack, "They're getting married in 2 weeks, that means I still have at least 13 days to make her realize that I'm the one for her, not Zack or anybody eles, me, I'm the one for her, and I'll show her that." I shared my little plan to them, "That's the spirit man. Besides, the odds are slowly turning into your favor, you're going to Glendale, your hometown. You have home court advantage. People there loves you, and will root for you." encouraged Jack, I smiled, feeling just a tad bit better than a few moments ago. "How do you plan on doing this again?" Andrew asked, "C'mon Drew, why are you so negative about this?" asked Jack, "I am not being negative, I'm just being realistic." Andew defended himself, "Again Nate, how are you planning to do this?" he asked. I shook my head, "I don't know. I'll just wing it I guess. But all I know is I have to." I honestly replied.

"This is like straight out of that Julia Roberts movie." Andrew randomly said, "Yeah it is, what is the name of that movie again?" Jack joined in, "My Best Friend's Wedding." replied Andrew, "Right. It is. It is exactly like what's happening right now." said Jack, I chuckled, "Let's just pray this has a better ending than the movie." I said, making them laugh, "Here's to you Nate, and your little mission impossible, may you successfully complete it." said Jack raising his glass, I smiled, "I'll cheers to that." I said raising my galss.
