CHAPTER 4: The Early Moon
Casey stops running. "Where is Katie, I thought she was behind us?" Casey said calmly even though she was a train wreck inside.
"Forget her, if you want to live!" Tammy yells full of herself.
"Ok Tammy think of if you were Katie, how do you feel now? I would rather die with my best friend than live without one."
Tammy sneers and keeps running. Casey turns around and runs as fast as she can.
She comes upon the green fog. "Katie! Katie!" She yells wishing she never came to camp. She hears a mumble coming from the green fog. Casey sticks her hand in and feels a body. "NO! She can't be dead! I love you Katie!" Casey bows on her knees crying holding Katie's hand.
Suddenly she feels her hand twitch. "I knew you couldn't be dead!" She uses all her strength to pull Katie out of the fog, without getting caught in it herself.
"Katie? Can you hear me? It's casey!"
"Who?" Katie says confused. "I don't know any Casey's, who are you?"
After Casey just feeling the slightest bit happy this happens, her best friend doesn't even know who she is.
"Katie, we need to get out of here and fast. Come with me if you want to survive!"
"I an't goin with no strangers." Katie says, not budging one bit.
Casey grabs her hand and forces her to come with her. They run, and run, and run, following the golden path trying to catch up with their friends.
They finally reach some footprints where the golden road stopped. "They were just here." Casey says out loud knowing she is wasting her breath telling Katie that.
"Yeah, I think we should take a break. I mean all this running, I'm exhausted!" Huffing and puffing even though she did no real running.
They agree to take a minute break. Their peace and quiet is broken by another screeching scream. "We have to leave now!"
They continue running, until they reach their friends. "Well I see you've found Katie, oh and Casey is alive too!" Tammy says sarcastic.
"Yeah, but she doesn't know who we are. " Casey says disappointed.
They decide to keep running after Casey tells them they heard another screech.
There are only 5 of them left Tammy, Casey, Katie, Rebecca, and Lori. Lola is dead as far as they know.
They come upon a campsite. They decide that they will hide underneath the picknick-tables, so they can rest.
The screeches are happening more often every minute. They all try to have a moment of silence for Lola. "I miss her so much, I can't believe she is actually, dead." Says Casey sobbing.
"Well she deserved it, she went right into 'Its' trap!" Tammy says disagreeing.
"You have no heart if you can say that, at least she was braver than you to actually try to help!" Casey pushes away from Tammy.
Katie just sits there listening not knowing what is going on. She still has no clue who anyone is.
"Well I don't want to listen to you anymore, I'm going to a different picknick-table!" Tammy says angrily while snapping forcefully in front of Casey.
Tammy carefully gets out from underneath the picknick-table. "We need to stay together! It is really dangerous out here!" Yells Rebecca trying her best not to get between them.
"I don't ca-" Tammy gets cut of by the loudest screech they heard.
A blue cloud of smoke surrounds all of them. "Tam-" Casey shouts just before she is knocked out by the smoke.
