Overdue (Stevie & Ally)

Chapter 9

(Stevie's POV)

Rachel says,"So..." I laugh a little and say,"What's up Rachel?" I can see the nervousness in her face, and I can already guess the questions she is about to ask me. As we are walking through the main hall towards the benches, I notice a few people staring and whispering. Rachel asks,"How are you doing? Like honestly." I think back to everything that has happened in these past few days. I say,"I think okay. Like right on the spectrum. What about you?" She takes a deep breath and sighs. She says,"A little worse than okay. Some emotional things have come up." She glances at me then my lips. I quickly say,"Ally and I are dating now, which is interesting." Rachel says,"Why interesting?" I laugh a little and say,"I never thought I would date someone like her. Someone so smart, funny, pretty, hard-working." Rachel has just been looking around and I laugh. I say,"Sorry I should've stopped." She says,"No no it's fine. I could've swore I just saw Ally and your friends watching us. Let's go somewhere more private." We both get up and walk towards the bathroom. I see out of the corner of my left eye Shannon and Cammie, and Ali on the right side. They are watching us. We walk into the bathroom and begin talking again. Rachel says,"So, how long have you and Ally been dating?" I say,"Not very long, not very long at all. What about your love life? What's going on there?" She laughs and says,"You have no idea. It's so hard to find a lesbian who you haven't dated in this school. And all the freshies aren't sure if they are gay or aren't ready for sex, and it's just a mess." I say,"What about Emily? Emily R?" She says,"Dated." I say,"Ashley H?" She says,"Dated." I laugh and say,"We dated the same people I'm pretty sure." Rachel gets closer and says,"We dated..." I say,"I'm aware." She looks at me then my lips. She says,"I've missed you Stevie. Don't you feel the same?" I don't know how to answer. I'm in a relationship with Ally, but did I really know anything about her? And we just started dating today I'm pretty sure! I look at Rachel and say,"I don't know. I'm seeing Ally." Rachel comes closer to me and says,"Do you know anything about her? Did you guys even talk before? It seems like you guys are strangers but dating." She's got a point. I say,"Rachel, I do miss us, but this is the wrong time. I'd break Ally's heart if I broke up her." Rachel takes another step closer, almost closing the space between us. She says,"Come on Stevie..." I am tempted but I remember my friends are watching me. I whisper,"Rachel... you and I both know we are being watched. More importantly, we need to actually talk this out where no one is watching or listening in on us."  She whispers,"I don't feel talking..." She moved in closer and my back is against the wall now. The door then opens and she moves away by a few steps and I see Cammie and Shannon and Ali walk in. I quickly say,"So that's what happened?" Rachel quickly picks up my lie and says,"Yeah... I know." Cammie and Shannon and Ali say hi to us, and we say hi back. I whisper to Rachel,"Follow me to my car so we can talk." She nods and we leave the bathroom, getting looks Cammie and Ali. We walk out of the bathroom and I see Steph and Taylor around the corners pretty much spying on us. They didn't see me look at them so I'm good. I say,"They are watching us. Let's take the back way to the parking lot." Rachel nods her head and we go behind the bathroom. We walk towards the library and I see Moonshine with Bria pretending to be in conversation but were watching us. Wow. Ally clearly doesn't trust me. I grab Rachel hand and walk quicker to the parking lot to my car. I see Danny "talking to someone" on his phone and I'm pretty sure he's just trying to do something. We finally get to the parking lot and I see my car. Rachel laughs and says,"Holy shit they are like spies. I guess your girlfriend doesn't trust you." I look at her and say nothing. We walk to my car and in my head I'm thinking, holy shit this is so much drama, like lesbians are ruthless. We get in my car and I say,"Rachel." She says,"Stevie." I sigh and say,"I do miss you sometimes. But I'm dating Ally right now. I'm not going to drop her just because you want me right now. I promise someone will come along." She says,"Stevie... You don't get it. I still love you, I haven't gotten over you, and what we had was good. And so was the sex." She laughs at the last part and so do I. I playfully hit her on the shoulder and smiles at me. I say,"Tell you what Rachel. I'm willing to give us another chance, but not at this moment in time." She looks sad but happy, and she nods. I think about what I just said, and I'm sure of my feelings and thoughts about it. I ask,"How much time do we have left?" She pulls out her phone and says,"About 17 minutes. Why?" Rachel looks at the back seats and says,"How dark are the windows?" I say,"Tinted as much as they can be." She asks,"How loud is the stereo?" I say,"It's got good quality." She looks at me and says,"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I say,"Maybe. I don't know." Rachel says,"Turn it on, and turn it up." She climbs into the backseat and takes her jacket off. Oh shit, this was going to be interesting. I turn on the radio and have some bassy song playing. I climb into the backseat and take off my jacket. Rachel smiles at me and says,"Seems like we both are thinking the same thing Boebi." She smirks and leans in.

(Ally's POV)

I mean I trusted Stevie, but I'm pretty sure everyone didn't trust Rachel. Chrissy says,"Maybe we should spy on them. It wouldn't be the worst thing we've ever done." I ask,"And why would we do that?" Taylor says,"Frankly I don't trust Rachel. I trust Stevie." Shannon says,"I don't know guys, that's going kind of low. Besides, they are gonna think Ally put you guys up to it." I say,"True, a better reason to not do it." Danny clears his throat and says,"Ally, as one of your friends, I'm telling you this nice as possible. We don't trust Rachel and we want to protect Stevie, therefore we need to make a little sacrifice." I sigh and say,"This is a horrible idea. She's gonna see you guys and know." Ali scoffs and says,"I'm like a spy, she won't notice me." Amanda laughs loudly and says,"Yeah right!" We all laugh and Ali laughs too. I say,"Go ahead, but I don't want any part in this. I'm gonna go in my car and take a nap." They all nod and say bye, and start planning. I see them get up and start running into places and I just laugh. I actually watch Stevie and Rachel, I'm kind of actually interested. I get closer and see they are sitting down. They the get up suddenly and go to the bathroom. Oh god. My heart starts to sink and my mind panics. She chose her over me. I walk over to the bathroom and stand on the side of the wall, pretending to be busy on my phone. Yes I'll admit it, I was being nosy, but for a good reason. I can't hear them but Ali, Shannon, and Cammie go in the bathroom. I then hear the door open and Stevie and Rachel come out. My heart picks up again and I realize they didn't do anything. I walk into the bathroom and ask,"So, learn anything?" Cammie says,"No, but let's follow them. I overheard they are going to the parking lot." I open the bathroom door and the four of us silently walk behind Stevie and Rachel. Damn this was getting serious, like too much drama. I didn't want to deal with this anymore. I say,"I'm gonna go sit down with Chrissy and Amanda." They nod and continue following them. I make my way to the table and Amanda says,"Back already?" I say,"Yeah, I just don't wanna deal with that stuff." Danny comes rushing over and says,"Stevie and Rachel just went into Stevie's car." I spring up from the table and say,"What?" I then see Cammie, Shannon, and Ali jogging up to us and panting. Shannon says,"Car." Cammie says,"Stevie." Ali says,"Rachel." I bury my face into my hands and think, oh god please let them just be talking, but deep down, I knew what was going on.

Oh my goodness. So much drama... and Stevie and Rachel? I wonder what will happen there. I didn't edit this very much, so sorry for mistakes! Well, I wanted to give you guys an update before 2015 ended (or if your time zone is ahead, happy 2016) I'm not sure I completely like this chapter.... But I needed a filler, and writers block is just being a bitch right now :') . But anyways, this is a nice and long chapter for y'all to read, and I hope you enjoy it!
