I suggest you watch the music video. It's pretty great. Say love by Jojo
I wake up realizing I'm still by Corbin. I smile but then the memory of last night floods in to my brain. If only what? Is there something he is hiding? I roll over to look at him. He is smiling in his sleep. I slowly get up to go to the restroom. I walk back and his mom is in the kitchen making coffee.
"Would you like a cup?" Melissa asks me.
"That would be great." I send a small smile. She slides over a steaming cup.
"It's hard to believe my boy is wanting to go to the military. I'm surprised he would leave your side." I look up at her. What is she talking about? Before I can say anything she keeps going. "He has been really fond of you for quite some time now. I wouldn't blame him, you're a beautiful girl and very smart." She stares down in to her cup. I couldn't respond from the shock so I just stare out the window. We sit in silence before a sleepy Corbin walks in yawning. I make eye contact and he smiles at me before kissing his moms cheek. He pours himself a cup and sits down beside me, a little too close. I freeze as he pats my thigh then takes a drink.
"Do you have any plans today A?" Corbin breaks the silence.
"Not as far as I know. I'll have to let my mom know. I didn't exactly plan on even spending the night."
"Ah it's no big deal. Now we're even since I stayed the other night." He winks at me before walking upstairs. I groan and pull my phone out.
Addie: Hey mom, sorry I didn't come home. I fell asleep over at Corbin's. He wants to hang out. I won't be home late.
It doesn't take long for her to answer back.
Mom: Ok, don't worry me like that again. Love you.
I sigh and run upstairs. I walk into Corbin's room, finding him shirtless looking in his closet. I slap my face trying to cover my eyes. I go to walk out and run into the wall. Corbin lets out a deep laugh. I send him a glare, rubbing my head. He kisses my forehead.
"There, all better." He says with a cheeky smile. I look away hiding my blush.
"Get ready dork or I'll go home." I smile walking out.
________________________________________We arrive at Taco Bell for breakfast. I haven't tried it so Corbin thought it was a good idea. We haven't really decided what today had planned but we will find out.
After we eat, Corbin started driving out of town. I look out trying to find a sign that gave me an idea where we were heading.
"Corbin, where are you taking me? Are you going to murder me?" I ask jokingly. He smiles and laughs.
"No, you'll find out. It won't be long." He turns the radio up to keep me from asking anymore questions. I whine and lean back in my chair. The warm air hitting me and the soft music puts me to sleep.
I wake up to Corbin patting my arm then shaking me. I groan and swat his hand away.
"Seriously A, get up. We're here." He laughs. I open my eyes and a smile spreads on my face. We are spending the day having a paintball war.
"You remembered?" I ask.
"How could I forget?" He smiles. I jump out eagerly, pulling on Corbin to make him hurry. We get suited up and put into teams to play capture the flag. I end up on the opposite team as Corbin, making me a little nervous. I have two college guys and a girl on my team. Corbin had an older guy and two 14 year old boys. I chuckle.
"Guess we already know who is going to win." I smirk at Corbin. He send a wink.
"Keeping dream A."
We split up and I end up hiding behind a bush in the corner. I peek over and see one of the little boys. I aim and get him in the leg. He falls down and let's out a shout in pain. I run over.
"I'm so sorry. You ok?" I ask fast. He grabs his leg but then starts to laugh. I back away when I feel something hit my arm and sting. His friend comes from around a building, shooting. I grab my gun and run. Let's just say I've never ran so fast. I look back and end up running into somebody. I fall down. I look up to see Corbin looking at me with concern. I kick his leg making him fall down onto his butt. We both laugh and the siren goes off meaning someone got a flag.
We meet up in the middle and their team ended up getting our flag. Corbin elbows me and sends a cocky smile. I stick my tongue out and shoot his foot.
"Oops, it slipped" I say innocently. He sends a glare. We get back to his truck and it's all ready 5:28. I fall asleep again on the way home.
I wake up to the smell of Arbys. I look over and Corbin is opening a sack of food. He sees me awake and hands me a roast beef sandwich. I smile and take a huge bite.
We get home around 7 and Corbin stays over for awhile. We end up watching a movie and making some brownies. I walk Corbin to the door and rest my head on the side. He smiles and clears his throat. I look down and before I realize. Corbin puts his hand on my neck and pulls me in. I feel soft lips against mine. I close my eyes and kiss back. We lean back, catching our breaths.
"Don't leave." I quietly whisper. He kisses my forehead and walks to his truck. I watch him drive off before sitting on the ground. I close my eyes and smile at the feeling left on my lips.
