Jessica
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The sudden sound of my alarm clock filled my silent bedroom. All the events that occurred yesterday brought me back to reality. Sadly, it wasn't a dream. I forced back the tears that were coming.
"Stop crying Jess," I told myself. "It's time for a new beginning."
"Rise and Shine gorgeous!" Seth said while barging into my bedroom. "We got a whole day ahead of us."
Seth was fully dressed in a tight black shirt with an SIA logo imprinted on it and grey sweats. It wasn't really what you'd expect a prince to wear, but nevertheless he looked well, hot.
Snap out of it jess. He's your best friend for goodness sake! Get a grip. But I couldn't. I've been in love with Prince Seth Wilson since day one of our friendship.
"Why can't I just stay in bed one more day? Does training really have to start today? " I whined. I tried to avoid looking at his muscular body, and tried focusing onto his face but his green eyes were so mesmerizing, I felt like I was being sucked in.
"Well if you want to get into shape then yes. I'll be honest with you Jess, you aren't the most athletic person I know. Well besides dancing but yea you get what I mean." Seth said while smirking.
"Oh shut up," I said playfully.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Wow," I gaped at sight of the SIA base. "It's huge."
Seth smiled at me and said, "I know right? Everything here is made of either glass or bulletproof metal."
The architecture was amazing. The outside was shaped like a dome. The inside was the most modern looking places I've ever seen with their advanced technology thingies. I was never one for computers or techy stuff. Just think of the fanciest office you've ever been to and multiply it by 10. That's how beautiful Stellar agency looked.
As we were entering the corridor that led to the training center, a pretty girl of our age stepped in front of us and blocked our way. Her fiery red hair bounced like a basketball and her grey eyes screamed crazy. She had a huge smile plastered on her face directed to Seth. Oh boy.
"Prince Seth! I'm so glad you're here! Did they send you to continue your training for me?" Red (that's what I'm calling her) squealed as she clutched his arm. She batted her eyelashes flirtatiously at my best friend. Pathetic.
Jealous much? A little annoying voice whispered in my head.
There's no use to lying to myself so I can't deny it.
Seth gave her a small smile as he gently pried the girl of his arms.
"Uh no Serena. I'm sorry but I'm here to train Jessica for Case 154. Strictly crucial and I don't want any disturbance," He said in a polite manner.
Red, or should I say Serena raised her eyebrows disbelievingly and turned her pretty little head towards me. I gave her a smug smirk and held my hand out.
"Hi, I'm Jessica," I said with a blank expression. Her lips curled up to a sneer and she looked at me with utter disgust. She turned her attention back to Seth.
"Her? Why of all people did Shirley ask for a loser like her? Especially for Case 154 which I heard was extremely difficult!" Serena exclaimed. She obviously didn't like the idea of Seth and I being together for the time being. What a jealous witch. I scoffed at her protests.
Seth frowned at her sudden outburst and said, "I'll have you know that Jessica was chosen for a purpose on which you will never understand. So please Serena go back to your assignments and do not ever talk about my best friend like that ever again. Learn your place."
Serena was surprised at this and it looked like she was going to burst into tears. I tried to stifle my laughter. I couldn't help that it was funny seeing her shrivel up in embarrassment. After all she was being rude.
"Yes Prince Seth," She said solemnly and left with out another word, but not after giving me a dirty look.
Once she was out of sight, I burst in laughter. I was laughing so hard that tears were falling.
"Oh my god d-did you s-see her face? Hilarious!" I said.
"Ha I know. She's kind of been a bother and plus I couldn't just stand there and let her trash talk my best friend," Seth winked at me.
I wrapped my arm around his waist and he put his over my shoulder.
"Thanks Sethie! I love ya," I teased. A slight blush spread across his cheeks.
"Love you too Jess. Now lets get started shall we?" Oh Lord please help me.
