Lying in her bed silent . Listening to the piercing words of her mom and dad. Shouting led her to tears. The painful words hurt her more than the words they were taking in.
But they wouldn't know that.She shut her eyes in sadness trying to stop the tears from coming out any further . Her mom once told her big girls don't cry.
Stacey's pale face was stained of tears. Seven year old , Stacey turns to look at her side table clock. Mumbling under her breath " when, when will this end."
Stacey opens he blue eyes slowly hoping this would just be a bad dream.
The realization of reality stings like a sword in her stomach.
Hearing footsteps coming up the stairs, she quickly turns over , onto her side.
Her mom enters quietly, thinking she was sound asleep.
She heads toward Stacey's bed, leaning over to kiss her on the forehead, saying
"Love you Hun ."
Stacey hearing the word love turn over.
Her mom notice's she's awake , but before she can say a word Stacey says
"Do you love daddy to ? "Stacey's mom with a sadden look replies
"Of course."As Stacey's mom shuts the door while exciting, Stacey turns back over and says to herself
