Names where beginning to be called out to one by one go up to the sorting hat. In no time is was my turn. The hat slightly tilted sideways on my head. "Hummmm... Interesting." The hat said but as no one moves I presumed it was only talking to me. "You are a smart one. Lots of Knowledge in this head of yours, yes but there is something special in you. Something I haven't ever seen in the others. I think you'll do great in... "RAVENCLAW!" The hat shouted out loud. The Ravenclaw table started to clap loudly but not cheers or hugs like the other tables. I chose to sit down next to another first year boy who up till now, seemed to be watching me... Creepy...

The sorting was soon over and several other students where sorted into Ravenclaw. Rose had gotten into Hufflepuff (it made sense now that I'd thought about it) and Fred and George where in Gryffindor. They had both given Rose smug looks as to prove what she said on the train wrong. But one thing still lingered on my mind as we ate... 'There is something special about you. Something I haven't ever seen in the others.' Now what could that mean?... I was vaguely interrupted out of my thoughts by the girl sitting next to me. "Hi." She said shyly. "I'm Ailish." I smiled. I was glad I wasn't the only nervous one. "Alexan- actually no it's just Alex." She laughed and shook my hand "Hi just Alex. Nice to meet you." After that we talked for ages (with the short interruption of dessert) about books and muggle, (whatever that meant) artists like Banksy.

Afterwards all the first years, including Ailish and I, where led round a tour of Hogwarts. And I thought London was big, I was so wrong. Eventually we got up to the 5th floor between the weird moving stair cases and stood outside a huge birch wooden door with a huge bronze eagle door knocker. It seemed to sense our presence and it's mouth began to move with it's words. 'No sooner spoken than broken.' It said. "The door asks you a riddle. To get in you have to answer right. If you get it wrong then another Ravenclaw has to come and answer it for you." Ailish explained. "I read it up about the houses history before I got on the train." All the other Ravenclaw first years stood their confused but one boy in particular looked completely at home. "Dose anyone know the answer?" Elizabeth Ridd, a Ravenclaw prefect asked promptly. The boys hand shot right up. "Silence." He said sounding sure. The door slowly swung open revealing a beautiful tower with midnight blue carpet and huge arch windows with blue and bronze silks hanging from either side of them. A domed ceiling with the stars painted perfectly on the black 'sky'. Birch tables, turquoise couches and several full bookcases furnished the room giving out a feeling of comfort. Now this was home.
