*~*~* J's POV *~*~*
There was a white light burning into my eyes as I slowly began to wake up, I felt my arms around someone and as I slowly peeked at the person next to me, my memory started to rush back to me.
*night of the fire*
"J GET UP THERE'S A FIRE!"
I immediately shot up and stumbled out of bed as my eyes slowly adjusted to the light. Nick stood in front of me with a crazed look in his eyes, I blinked a few times as what he said sank in.
"SHIT!"
Was all I yelled as I sprinted out of my dorm and headed to Alex's room to warn them. Everyone started to scream, yell, and panic as they head in my direction, trying to get to the nearest exit. I tried to maneuver my way through the crowd but it was taking up too much time so as soon as I saw a dorm room opened, I slipped in and watched as blurs of colors and faces zoom past me. After what seemed like an eternity, the halls were silent which meant everyone finally made it out of the school. I sprinted my way to her dorm and got their within 5 minutes. As soon as I got there I heard someone screaming inside, but I couldn't tell if it was Spitz or Alex, either way it made me panic. There was a chunk of the ceiling on the floor blocking her way out. I immediately started to push on the ceiling trying to move it away but I only moved it a centimeter. The screaming never stopped and it only made me push harder until I was almost there, my hand slipped and a sharp edge cut its way from my wrist to my elbow. I cried out in pain as I saw blood gushing out.
"HELLO?!?! PLEASE HELP ME!!"
They screamed as they pounded on the door. I sucked in a breath and with every ounce of strength I had in me, I pushed the chunk just far enough for her to open the door and squeeze through. I whipped my head up to see soft blue eyes staring back at me. Her hair was falling all around her face from the loose bun it was in, her pale face stained by tears. I noticed she was trembling as she squeezed through the opening. I grabbed her hand to help her through, and once she was out, I smashed her against my chest holding her tight as she wrapped her arms around my waist. As I looked down into those baby blue eyes, everything was forgotten, even the fire, and how close it was getting until we heard a loud cackle sound and BOOM! a piece of the ceiling fell down and landed only a few yards away. I felt the impact as it vibrated up my leg to my chest.
"Come on we need to get out of here,"
I whispered into her ear as we pulled away, I intertwined our hands and started to jog down the corridor I came from. As we grew near to my dorm I see the roaring of flames up ahead.
"Shit"
I curse under my breathe as I lead her down the corridor that leads to the class rooms. I can feel the heat from the fire radiating from all around, this sent me into a panic and made me jog faster. I felt Spitz tug on my hand and I stopped. We heard faint yelling that sounded close.
"Someone's here!"
She yelled as she turned to me for the slightest second with a big grin plastered on her face, before she turned back and started to scream.
"OVER HERE!"
she repeated this over and over again but it seemed like whoever was here couldn't here her.
Must be a teacher, their old and deaf 'cuz come on! who cant hear this mad women yelling!
I think as I shake my head.
"I'll have you know, this 'Mad Women' can easily beat your ass so it wouldn't be wise to piss her off,"
Spitz says as she gives me a half serious, half playful glare. I realize I said that out loud and felt my cheeks start to heat as I casted my eyes down. I heard a gasp and glanced up to see Spitz giving me a soft genuine smile.
