As the morning sun gently streamed through the curtains, Selena groggily rolled out of bed and made her way towards the kitchen.
She found Niall there, setting the breakfast on the table. A melody escaped her lips as she leaned against the wall, captivated by his singing.
A smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she watched him, her heart swelling with affection. Niall noticing her presence, turned his head and his smile grew wider and the sight of her leaning against the wall filled him with warmth, and he couldn't help but feel a little nervous.
In that moment, wanted to savor every second with this incredible woman. With a bashful smile, rubbed the back of his neck, his adoration for her shining in his eyes.
As he looked at her, she glanced down at the ground, her cheeks tinged with a rosy hue. Niall chuckled softly and closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace from behind.
"Hey there, gorgeous," He said, twirling her around to face him and she couldn't help but smile at the sight of him.
"Hey, handsome," She replied, giving him a peck on the lips.
"How'd you sleep?" He asked taking a seat on the kitchen table.
"I slept like a baby. And you?" She asked, sitting down next to him.
"Amazing, especially with you by my side," He said, planting a kiss on her cheek.
"You're the best," She said, feeling her heart swell with love.
"I try," He said, flashing her a charming grin.
"I should get going now. I'll try to call you soon," She promised, giving him one last kiss before heading out.
As she drove away, Selena breathed a sigh of relief that the paparazzi weren't lurking around. She couldn't help but feel guilty for cheating on her wife of eleven months, knew it was wrong, but couldn't resist the pull of her lover.
Pulling into her driveway, Selena turned off the engine and pulled out her phone. She scrolled through pictures of her and Eugenia on their wedding day, feeling a pang of regret for betraying her.
As Selena stared at her phone screen, a single tear rolled down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away, her finger hovering over the pictures.
With a deep breath, she turned off her phone and placed it in her purse. Exiting the car locked the door and made her way to the front door of her house.
Standing in the doorway, she was greeted by her loving wife, Eugenia. Eugenia pulled Selena inside and closed the door behind her, a warm smile on her face.
"Hey there, babe," She said, placing her bag on the couch.
"Are you okay, Selena? You seem to have been crying a lot more recently." She asked.
Selena couldn't hold back her tears any longer and began to sob quietly into Eugenia's chest. She couldn't believe how caring and gentle her wife was being.
She felt undeserving of such love. She mustered the courage to speak.
"I'm really stressed about tour this year," She admitted.
"Don't be. You will do amazing, just like you always do. I know it's hard now, but you'll persevere like usual." She kissed Selena's forehead and rubbed her back.
