The Legendary Creature (Book 1)

Chapter one: My past

Hey, my name is Diablo well my real name is anyway but I go by Ash now. I don't exactly know my true age. When I was born my birth parents kinda abandoned me and left me to die. So I lost track of my age over the years. But anyway let's start at the beginning shall we. It was a cold Saturday in January I was just born. "She's beautiful, it's a shame that we can't keep her." my mom said "Werewolf children are too much work, just leave her in the woods somewhere." said my dad as my mom walked over to me I soon got a very bad feeling. As my mom carried me through the woods away from our den I got scared. " I'm going to miss you my sweet little baby girl Diablo."said my mom as she laid me on the cold hard ground. I started to cry as she walked away from me. I began to wonder if I'm going to survive or not. Then all of a sudden the bushes next to me began to shake. I thought it was my mom coming back for me but a wolf emerges from the bush. I could tell by its scent that it's a female. The strange black and white she-wolf picked me up by my scruff and carried me to her den. Then she shifted from a wolf into a human I instantly knew she was a werewolf. I started to freak out "shh it's okay I'm not going to hurt you." she said I instantly calmed down. "Don't worry your pretty little head I'll keep you safe from harm." She said. I soon fell asleep and when I woke up the next morning she was gone I started to get scared. "Hey, there little Diablo look who I found all alone in a Den with her dead parents." she said as she carried a caramel colored she-wolf into the den. "I found you a sister her name is Vixen!" She said with enthusiasm. "Diablo and Vixen what odd names you know what I'll call you Katie." she said to Vixen. "And I'll call you Ashley." she said to me with a warm smile. Then she began to stroke my orangey fox like colored fur. "What a beautiful fur color you have." she said to me in awe. Then Katie walked over to me and we curled up and went to sleep.
                                                         A FEW YEARS LATER
"Wake up Ash wake up!" Katie yells as she jumps up and down on my sleeping body, for a shy wolf she sure is hyper. "Today we get to go on our first hunt so get up." she says as she pushes me off the bed. "Oww" I said as I hit the floor, she then tackled me as soon as I was standing on all fours. "Katie chill it's not for another hour." I said laying on my back staring at the six year old caramel colored wolf on top of me. "How about we play tag in the woods until the hunt?" I asked hoping that she would get off me. We then played tag for a while and then came back to join the hunt with our parents. Halfway through the hunt we heard a distress howl in the distance. Me and Katie shifted into our human form and went to find our dad. What I found was horrific my mothers dying body. I was soon tackled by a grizzly bear it scratched my left cheek and over my right eye. Then it scratched across my stomach and my chest I rolled over and tried to get away only to be dragged back and have the bear bite my skull. The bear dropped me and ran off so I got up an ran to my mother. Only to see the light fade away from her eyes "NO!" I screamed then everything went black. I woke up in a white room to find Katie asleep at my bedside and my father asleep in a chair I soon saw the bandage across my left eye. Then I looked down to see bandages covering my entire torso. I then felt my right cheek to find another bandage. A nurse came in the room and said "time to take off the bandages." Katie helped me over to the mirror and the nurse began to take off the bandages I closed my eyes until she was done. When I opened my eyes I saw a three claw scar across my cheek and another three claw scar across my stomach and a another three claw scar across my chest and a two claw scar that went over my left eye. Thank goodness it didn't damage my eye then my sister held up a mirror behind me and I saw a five claw scar from my shoulders to my waist. The middle claw ran down my spine and some parts of my spine were showing  and the nurse said "We did what we could but they'll scar I'm sorry." So I now have scars now that's just so lovely. (Note my sarcasm)
