Chapter 4

To the Mall

The day went by and nothing bad seemed to happen. I was glad that Brad didn’t quite to be a bother to me at all. It was intriguing though but I didn’t mind it that much.

Well I was excited today because my girls and I are going to have our shopping time for Stacey’s birthday. Ahh.. the time where we get to dress up and doll ourselves up.

As I was getting excited every minute, blame it to a girl. She gotta have her shopping spree. Every minute seems like forever. I can’t wait for the class to end.

When the time comes, I was off from class. I was practically running on the hallway to meet my girls at the parking lot. All of them are already there and except for me.

“Finally the queen’s here! Let’s go!” I stopped at my tracks and faced Caylee.

“Hey! I’m not a queen! It’s like you’ve been waiting so long.” I crossed my arms in my chest.

“I think we are. For about 30 minutes now.” Caylee said and smirked at me.

“How? All class just ended just 5 minutes ago.” We were classmates so how did that happen that I didn’t notice them being gone already.

“Wait for it..” Carly chimed in.

“No you didn’t. You cut class again?” How was that even possible. I was sitting right next to them. Am I really that blind to not see them getting out of the class?

“You were busy day dreaming. We called for you attention but you didn’t budge at all.” Stacy shrugged.

“And correction, it’s not cutting class. We just had an early dismissal.” Carly grin.

“Were you that excited to go shopping?” I raised my eyebrow at them.

“hell yeah!” Their chorus agreement came together.

“and I heard there will be discounts at the mall today.” Caylee clapped her hands and grin was plastered in her face.

“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s get shopping!” I exclaimed and we all jump into my car.

The ride just took 15 minutes. For the rest of the journey, we sang to the lyrics and bobbed our heads to the beat of the music. It’s what we do everytime we hangout or go to malls.

When we passed by the entrance, many people are already in the line to get there stuffs.

“There’s a lot of people already, Hurry Maggie before all the good stuffs are been taken!” shouted Stacey. Jeez, couldn’t they calm down? Their faces right now are just about to go to a war. I know, it sounds crazy but girls just gotta have their thing.

“Chill out girls! We have all the time to shop.” I think I said it all out while finding for a spot to park, knowing what will happen next.

“Shut up and park!” They all said in unison. The power of girls and shopping, you can never argue to that.

“There! Right there!” pointed Caylee from the very far end of the parking lot.

“Oh-kay” I said quietly while parking. Finally got one!

“Not quite that far, huh?” Stacey said nonchalantly while looking straight ahead.

When the car was parked we all went straight to the entrance and braced ourselves for a shopping spree and that includes passing through the crowd and a fighting spirit for items that are at last stock.
