I get back to the place that I called home, Allies Diner. Allie and Fred were the owners of the diner, they have been married for 20 plus years and have basically adopted me when they gave me the job when I was thirteen. Allie couldn't have kids so when I needed a job she immediately gave it to me and I gained a mother figure.
"SJ what are doing here I thought you had a funeral to go to?" Allie asks me. Allie has black hair and brown eyes. She rarely calls me Sage or Jacie, she said she wanted to give me a nickname that she liked and came up with SJ and it stuck.
"Hey Momma I would have been here earlier but Ray wanted to make an ass outta me...."
"What'd he do? Did he hit you?" Freds voice booms.
I walk to the kitchen and grab an apron and walk over to Fred. "No dad he just pissed me off. Don't worry he isn't going to touch me, you'll be there to beat him up if he tries anything."
"Thats right Sweetpea. You might not be mine biologically but you are my daughter." Fred says hugging me.
"Let my daughter go you oaf, her usuals are feeling left out and want SJ." Allie says as she comes into the kitchen.
I kiss Fred and Allie on the cheek before going to check on my tables.

After work is over I count my tips and kiss Fred and Allie on the cheek and leave. I head to the house that I've taken care of for the past six years. I turn onto my street and see four bikes parked outside my house with the drivers in a huddle on my porch, looking like they are worried that I'm not answering to door. At the sound of my bike all of their heads turn to look at me. I pull into my drive way and turn off my bike. Its the guys from the church except they changed clothes. One is in red, one in blue, one in green and the other in gray.
"Can I help you?" I ask them.
"We're hoping so. We are looking for our sister. We heard that she lived here." The one wearing the red shirt says.
"Can I ask what her name is?"
"Her name is Sage Jacie Wright. We've looked eveywhere for her and can't find her." Someone else says, its the guys in blue.
"Whose asking?" I snap at them. Why are they asking about me? Who do they think they are?
"Her brothers," the guys in green says. "She needs us and we want her to come back with us."
"She died. She doesn't need anyone now. She doesn't have brothers. She is fine the way she is." I say to him.
"Are you sure?" The one in gray asks, looking like he is about to cry.
"Yes, she died six years ago." I tell him. "Sorry to be rude but can I get your names?"
"I'm sorry. I'm James I'm 22. The one in blue is Alex he's 21, the one in green is Dallas he's 20 and the guy in gray is Landon he's 19."
The one in red says. These are definitely my brothers. They look like dad with a little of my mom mixed in. Moms blonde hair and dads hazel eyes. I on the other hand have black hair and gray eyes.
"Can we ask your name?" Dallas asks.
"Sage. Now will you leave I have shit to do tomorrow and need my sleep." I tell them.
"I thought you said Sage was dead!" Alex hollars.
"She is you peice of shit. She died the first time her so called mother beat her. Now unless you want me to call the cops I suggest you leave." I lie, the cops in this shity town won't do anything, much less help anyone.
They move out of the way so I could pass. I put my key into the door and open it, I go to walk in and go to shut it but a hand stops it. I look up and see Landons hand.
"I have to ask how did you know my little sister?" He asks me taking his hand off the door, his eyes looking at the floor.
"I know her because I am her." I say and slam the door, barely managing to lock it before they start banging on it.
I run up the stairs and shut the door to my room and turn on my stereo, blasting it. I walk to the window where I see my brothers arguing about something, pointing at the house. I close the curtain I had opened this morning and put on my pjs, which consisted of an oversized t-shirt and spanks. I walked back to my stereo system and turned it off. I head to the bathroom and take out my contacts, before heading back to my room to turn my lights off and head to bed wanting to forget about today for as long as I can.
