I can't believe he's late for my birthday.

Hoshi was never late for anything.

Did he forget? 

It's only been 20 minutes. Maybe he ran onto something? Maybe there was an emergency. I mean, why would he forget, right? Hoshi would never forget my special day. Right. He couldn't.

I can't believe I'm late for Sophie's birthday.

Ughh, I'm so stupid. I shouldn't have left earlier. But no, I had to. 

*Flashback*

"C'mon man, it's just for today! And besides, there's a lot of hot chicks at the party. You know, maybe we could score some tonight."

Minghao was really getting on my nerves.

"I told you, I have plans. It's Sophie's birthday and we're going out tonight." I pushed Minghao away from me. I continued playing the game with Vernon beating me at the track race. "Man, you're so unfair." 

Vernon smirked at me and put on a devilish look on his face "After this, you'll be doing my laundry for a week. You hear me, hyung? A WEEK." he emphasized the word and I was really getting fueled up because of the game.

"Oh, c'mon, dude! You're still hanging out with that curly haired chick from school? Seriously, she isn't even hot! She looks like... like... someone Junghan hyung would date!"

"I heard that, psycho." The two of us looked at Junghan hyung when he passed by the door carrying a laundry basket. Minghao only smiled at him playfully. I smacked him on the head and he glared at me for it. 

"Shut up." I said to him with a serious face. "She's mine."

Minghao didn't hear what I said because when I saw him, he was doing something on his phone but I was sure Vernon heard me because when we continued playing, he suddenly said, "You're so cheesy, hyung." 

What? I was only telling the truth. It's not like me and Sophie are together now but... We have something special, you know? ARGH ENOUGH! It's complicated, okay?

"Look! Look, man! Even Areum is coming!"

"Who's that?" he showed me the picture on his phone and a pretty girl appeared on the screen. 

"That gorgeous girl Dokyum was talking about." Minghao whispered to me but because I was so focused on the game and I got so irritated because of him, I head-banged him and he stumbled on the floor, sitting.

"Don't force me to go with you anymore, okay? Just ask Seungcheol hyung to go with you! Geez!"

And finally, Minghao had too much of it. He rolled on the floor like a kid and started showing annoyance by stomping his legs on the floor.

"HE WOULD'NT GO WITH ME EITHER! C'mon Hoshi! We'll only be there for like, an hour or something! I promise!" the game ended and Vernon won the race. He shrugged his shoulders at me and left with a smirk on his face while holding his hands up with two peace signs. Well, I guess that's two times the laundry for me this week. Dang it.

"C'mon, dude! You're my only chance so that I could talk to this girl." I turned off the console and turned to face a puppy-eyed Minghao pleading at my feet. "Pleeeeeaaaase????"

I couldn't resist the urge to yes, not because he was cute, but because I couldn't  let myself see Minghao unhappy and basically, seeing him roaming around the dorm stomping his feet like a kid.
