Chap 6: Getting to know each other at the park

That night I got a text from Brandon. He texted me "Do u wanna meet?"
I texted back immediately "Sure, you pick a place this time"
"Ok meet me at 6:00pm at the park"
"Deal." "See you then" I texted
I was squealing with excitement. I twirled to open my wardrobe.
'I need to pick something classy' I thought. I chose red high heels and a red cocktail dress.
I picked out a red purse and put my keys and phone in there. I just tied my hair in a ponytail and put on a pair of red earnings to match my outfit. And for the final touch I chose some red lipstick.
I waited by the clock. It was 5:30. I thought I should leave the house at around 5:50. I would only take 10 minutes to get there. So I waited. I heard a ping. It was my phone again.
I read the message "I'll come to get you"
I texted him "I'll meet you down the street, it's Cornwall place"
"Ok see you in 5 minutes" he texted me. I waited by the door, and exactly 5 minutes passed before I hear the doorbell. I opened the door.
"Wow you look beautiful" he seemed astonished.
"Thank you!" I said shyly
"Ok let's go" he said. He took my hand and we walked to the park.
"So what are we going to do at the park?" I asked curiously.
" You'll see." He responded. "Ok" I replied. 10 minutes after I said 'ok' we were at the park.
Sitting on a bench. That's when I asked again "So now can you tell me what we're doing here!"
"Yes, well I thought we could stay here for a while and tell each other stuff about ourself"
"Ok.You start!" I said. "Well, my favourite colour is orange, I like dogs and I have a brother called Michael."
"Ok, my favourite colour is yellow, I like cats and i don't have another sibling" I said.
"My birthday is on October 10th and when I was little I had a pet turtle." He told me
"My birthday is on June 22nd and I had a goldfish when I was little" I said.
"So now we know a lot about each other, what do we do?" I asked.
" How about you come to my house?" He offered.
"Ok , but I have to study tonight so I can't stay for too long, sorry" I apologised
"Yeah that's ok, 5 minutes that's all I want"
"Yes,let's go then. We don't have a second to lose"
"Agreed" he replied. So we start to walk. Him guiding me to his house.
So soon after I was standing in his room. There was a: laptop; a desk;a wardrobe;a single bed;a lava lamp and a bedside cabinet.
"Nice room" I complimented. "Thanks..." he said.
"I hate to leave, but I have to. Sorry!" I interrupted.
" It's ok, I understand" he smiled. "I'll text you when I've finished" I promised.
"Great bye then" he sadly looked at me. "Bye" I had to say.
