Chapter 6 kisses of angels

-Ace's p.o.v.-

It's been a week since Lucy came back to us. It was all thanks to her cousin Joey. He died last summer and became her guardian angel. We are most defiantly happy to take him in he makes Lucy so happy. She smiles, she laughs, her eyes light up again like they did when she first met us. But she never looks at me the way she used to. Could it be she is over over me? Maybe she's into Dillon now. Maybe she already was. Maybe she's hiding her feelings for me because of Sammy. Maybe she never liked me. Why do I care? I don't. I don't love her I love Sammy. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at my door. "Come in." I said.

        "A-Ace, can we talk?" Lucy asked peeking her head in the door.

        "Yeah." I said patting the bed. She sat down next to me on my bed and fiddled with her thumbs.

        "Ace, I'm in love with you and I know you're in love with Sammy but is it possible that you may be in love with me too?" She asked still playing with her thumbs.

        "No." I lied.

        "C-can I at least k-kiss you once?" She asked hopeful. How could I deny her when she asked so sweetly and plus I wanted to kiss her too.

        "Sure." I said. She blushed and turned to face me. I leaned in and pulled her close. She closed her eyes and parted her lips. My heart began to pound against my chest. I kissed her deeply and passionately.

        "I-I love you." She said.

        "Lucy..." I sighed. She teared up and ran away. "Lucy wait!" Her hair was glowing...!

-Lucy's p.o.v.-

        "A-Ace, can we talk?" I asked peeking my head through the door.

        "Yeah." he said patting the bed. I sat down next to him and filled with my thumbs.

        "Ace, I'm in love with you and I know you're in love Sammy but is it possible that you love me too?" I asked hopeful playing with my thumbs.

        "No." he said flatly.

        "C-can I at least k-kiss you once?" I asked hopefully.

        "Sure." He said. I blushed and turned to face him. He leaned in and pulled me close. I closed my eyes and parted my lips. My heart is pounding against my chest. He kissed me deeply and passionately.

        "I-I love you." I said.

        "Lucy..." he sighed. I teared up and ran away. "Lucy wait!" I ran out side crying. Dillon sat on the steps he looked up at me when I walked out.

        "Hey Luce... You okay?" He asked.

        "Yeah." I sniffled and sat next to him. He put his arm around me and pulled me close.

        "It's okay, I know what will make you feel better."

        "What?" I asked confused. He stood and let out hi giant white wings and held out his hand to me with a smile. I took his hand and he he pulled me close flying us above the city. It was beautiful. I was amazed. So this is what angels do? It's amazing. The can fly around and be there fast. They could go anywhere. It was so wonderful. I let the warm summer Atlanta breeze flow through my hair and brush against my face.

        "How's it feel?" Dillon asked.

        "WONDERFUL! I love it!" I squealed. We landed back on the front steps laughing. When we stopped we looked into each others eyes and I could feel the butterflies in my tummy and the blush in my cheeks. Could it be that I loved Dillon too? It had to be. He pulled me close and brushed a loose curl behind my ear.
