Every day this week had pretty much went the same as the other day. The 4 boys still ate lunch with Alyssa and Hayley. Alyssa had grown rather close with Luke, Michael, and Ashton, but it seemed her and Calum started talking more and more everyday. Alyssa wasn't starting to fall for Calum, he was just merely becoming another best friend. Besides, Alyssa was almost sure Hayley had a major crush on the Kiwi boy.
"Lyss, what do you want to drink?" Luke asked her, as they were in line for lunch
"Uh, doesn't matter, just grab me something." She replied, going and sitting down at the table.
Alyssa had seemed out of it all day. She almost had gotten in trouble in every class she had today. Her parents finally came home on Wednesday night, but she wishes they would go back to wherever they were. Alyssa's mom and dad had been fighting what seemed like every chance they got. She doesn't know why or what they were fighting about, but she wished they would stop. That's one of the main reasons she's been out of it lately, she can't get a good sleep with all the noise going on on the floor below her.
Luke came back to the table, giving Alyssa a soda. He told her some caffeine might help keep her awake and aware during her next few classes. Alyssa thanked him and once again started to zone out when everyone at their table started talking about the party, which was in fact, tonight.
Alyssa still hadn't really made up her mind on if she was going or not. She did not want to, but she still considered it. It might be nice to let loose and go crazy one night, or maybe not. She had remembered what Ashton had told her, about how he always got stuck doing the same thing Alyssa always did. She had been thinking about what he said all week. That would be the only reason Alyssa would go though. Even at that, she didn't know if she would still go.
The bell rang, indicated they would be late for their next classes if they didn't leave now. Alyssa waved bye to the 4 boys and walked with Hayley to PE.
"What's been up with you lately, Lyss?" Hayley asked, obviously worried about her friend.
"Mom and Dad have been fighting a lot lately," Alyssa sighed," I have no clue why but they keep going at it every night and I "
"Every body listen up!" The gym teacher interrupted the two girls' conversation," Today we are walking the track outside, and you are to walk or run or jog or whatever for 2 miles. Now everybody go change and start your miles."
Most people groaned at this, but this was almost was Alyssa was waiting for. She loved going for runs or going walking when she had lots of things on her mind. Hayley also didn't mind this, as she loved exercising and working out. Alyssa didn't understand why she enjoyed it, but she would sometimes join Hayley at the gym. The two girls when to the locker room to change, along with the other girls. Once they were changed they went out side and started walking the track.
"So, what were you trying to tell me earlier?"
"Oh I was just saying that I haven't been sleeping well and I'm staring to not being able to handle the fighting anymore." Alyssa replied with a shrug
"That sucks that they're fighting. You know though Lyss, You can come over whenever and spend the night. Maybe that way you could actually get some sleep." Hayley told her
"I'll probably be doing that if it continue, but anyways, I think I'm gonna run the rest of the miles. You can join if you want."
"I'll just stick to walking for now."
Alyssa nodded and put some earbuds in and ran for the whole class period.

Once the final bell had rung Alyssa just sat in her seat. She had a lot on her mind today, like her parents, her teachers being up her ass, and of course, the dreaded party that was soon to come. Everyone had soon cleared out of the room and Alyssa took that as a sign she should probably leave. She grabbed her things and made her way to her locker. Once she got there, she noticed a certain pink haired boy standing beside her locker.
"Oh hey Michael. What's up?"
"Nothing much, cant wait to get out of this hell hole."
"Couldn't agree more." The blonde said while uttering a light laugh
"But I am here at your locker to tell you that I will be at your house to pick you up for the party at around 9." Michael told her with a smile
"I don't have a choice do I?"
"Not the slightest" Michael told her with a smirk," See you at 9." he said while giving her a wink
Alyssa groaned and continued to put her books away. Once she was done she started to walk home by herself. Hayley never walked home on Fridays because she took some extra classes last year, so she doesn't have a full day on Fridays.
On the way out Ashton saw her walking by herself.
"Hey Alyssa!" he called out to her. Alyssa stopped and watched Ashton walk up to her.
"Need a buddy to walk home with?" he asked the girl once he caught up to her.
"Oh no Ashton its fine you don't have to walk all the way to my house, then back to yours."
"Its fine, besides it might make me tired and then I could have an accuse to leave the party early" He joked
"Well if you want to make the long journey with me, you're more than welcome." She told him while laughing
The two started walking and talked about lots of random things. The main topic was the huge party tonight. Neither of the two wanted to go, but were both being forced to go by their best friends. They agreed that they would just hang out in the back yard, hopeful that not as many people would be out there. Alyssa and Ashton also started talking about things such as Alyssa's love for the show 16 and Pregnant and Ashton's love for ripped band shirts, as he says they make him punk rock.
"Alright this is my stop." Alyssa told the tall boy
"Dude, this is awesome! My house is like 5 houses down, we are basically neighbors!" Ashton exclaimed, obviously excited.
"Not really neighbors, but whatever floats your boat." Alyssa laughed
Ashton was laughing as well and waved good bye to the girl. Alyssa waved goodbye to him also and went inside. Alyssa's parents weren't home and ,for once, Alyssa was grateful they weren't around. Alyssa did her normal afternoon routine, which consisted of getting food and watching TV. Alyssa was thankful for this relaxation time, especially with all the craziness going on in her life and family, but little did Alyssa know, her life was about to get a lot more crazier in the upcoming months.
