Lust. Lust is almost the main factor that can lead to many feelings. Sometimes its just attraction, or even sometimes a relationship.
But can it be based off, of Love?
"Yum have you seen Harley today?" Lana said licking her lips ever so often.
"I don't find your boyfriend attractive Lana." I replied as I slammed my dark blue locker shut. "I have rather more important things to do." I said mockingly.
"Did you lose your journal or something?" She questioned as her two inch heels clicked against the old high school floor.
"Yes."
"If anyone finds that book you so will be called like some porn writer, or a novelist or something!" Lana said laughing.
I glared at her "Shut up, I didn't write my name in it though."
"I don't know how such a prude like you, could write something like that." She said. "Whatever Lana go to your boyfriend." I said waving my hand.
I entered the class most high school seniors hated AP Biology class. On my terms I loved it. I had a fascination with biology and the human anatomy.
"Good morning Desirè (des-er-ray) , could you please hand these papers out." Mr Logan questioned me his wrinkled hands held out some crisp white papers.
"Sure." I replied and took the white papers and placed them on the empty desk. Nobody was in the classroom at the moment. As I said before people dreaded this class. I pulled out my second go-to journal and started to write. I loved to write. I would have it be my profession but, it wasn't a lasting job something that would hold you. As my father said. So I chose Medicine. Something to benefit the human race. I continued to write a tale about a damsel in distress in her old forsaken castle where her knight in shining armor would come and rescue her. I laughed at that and noticed how different times are now. Back then men respected women and asked to court, not slap their asses and grope their breast. I continued to write an glanced around the room not noticing the stares I was receiving.
"Ms. Hollow pay attention." Mr. Logan said. People had stopped talking as in shock that I wasn't paying attention. I grimanced at that, I had made myself such a nerd that people were in shock. I wasn't a straight honer A+ student. I was almost failing history . But, people judged.
Class ended and I ran to the creaky old bus stop waiting for the bus to go home. I enterd the bus and passed the regular busdriver two nickles.
"Hey Lana." The old busdriver said.
I looked behind my shoulder and smiled. "Hey Mr.Dane!"
He chuckled and the bus began to move as I clutched on to the handle on the bus, as we drove down the hill.
I started to tap my feet to the hard wood floors to my own beat, from the boredom I was facing I was near to tears. My muscles ached and their was a burning pain in my back. My mother had a problem with me she hated most of the things I did. So after every day at school I would come home and for an hour my mother would force me to be more lady like. She would yell at me for being so sarcastic, to being messy and eating so much food, to even sitting up straight. Right now I was sitting on a hard wooden chair with a ruler strapped to my waist.
If I hunched I would get pierced by the ruler and get yelled at my mother. Sweat dripped down my back, as I glanced at the clock. For Gods sake! This was worse than my intense teakwood lessons with Master Kim!
"Stop being so dramatic." My mother commented laughing. She twirled a piece of my dark auburn hair, and grimanced " You haven't been taking care of yourself Desirè." She said I sighed even if my mother was weirdly strict and strange she cared for me.
"Im sorry, I have been studying for my finals and the Mcat!" I replied tiredly.
"You and your fathers dumb Mcat, Yale work, spend time with me sometimes I get jealous of your dad you pay more attention to him than me." She muttered I laughed.
" Mama you know I don't like to do this but I love you so your an acception ." I said and brought my mother into a bear hug. With the chair still stuck to me.
"You know I love you just take care of yourself you making you Father so proud." She said into my shoulder. I was at least five inches taller than my mother, she was on the short side where as my father was 6'7.
"Okay Ma." I said and let go of her. I placed a kiss on her cheek and unbuckled the strap for the chair, and ran upstairs my bare feet pounded against the wooden stairs as I not so gracefully ran to my room.
I jumped onto my bed enjoying the air conditioned room for once and the soft comforter. The small room filled light blues and then the dark reds of my room creating a strange aura, It was funny how I was so two sided, half my room was white with fairy lights and love quotes where the other half was filled to the crooks and nannies full of posters of my favorite rock bands, authors, doctors, and singers. And my guitar hung up on the walls with more fairy lights. I pulled out my laptop and walked to my small mini fridge, filled with coke. I loved coke.
I opened the can its sound wafting through the air and I took a sip of the amazing drink. "Bum bum be dum de dum dum." I was humming a song to a tune an typing up my college applications at the same time. You could say my life was planned ahead I just needed my acceptance letter to Yale or Stanford and I was good to go. I didn't have any baggage here I was sure to do that. No boyfriends, no nothing. Just one friend and I was good.
