Ok so this is chapter 4 i really hope you like it, so sorry it took sooo long to post!!
Kimi's vision cleared and she could make out the faint outline of her surroundings. She realised she was strapped to a tree, in the middle of a dark forest. She tried to break free but the pain that was pulsing through her veins sent a jolt through her body, causing her to shriek out in pain. How on earth did I get here, she thought to herself frantically. She had to get away before the ninja came back from wherever he had gone.
She tugged and tugged but the ropes held firm. " The more you, stuggle, the faster the poison spreads around your body." said a voice from the shadows. Kimi froze. She could instantly recognised the raspy voice and it sent a shiver down her spine. The ninja had returned.
" Who are you!" Kimi screamed at the guy. She clutched her stomach suddenly and howled in pain, it felt as if someone had pulled her intentines out, and she spluttered out blood.
The ninja noticed and sneered." Don't worry your pain will be shortly lived. It won't be long now, little girl. Before your kind, are eliminated one by one"
What was he on about, she wanted to kill the guy and wipe the smirk off his face, but from her current position, all she could do, was groan in pain. Help!, she silently willed to herself. There was a sudden flash of light and Kimi had to peel her eyes away, so she wouldn't get blinded. When the light faded into a shimmer, Kimi looked up and gasped. The ninja too staggered back in shock.
A beautiful woman stood before them, her whole body glowing brightly. She had smooth, black hair that rippled and curled down her back. Her kimono was decorated with designs of flowers, water, swirling water, strangely though the pictures seemed to be moving. The most shocking of all was that she was floating a few centimetres off the ground. She turned to face Kimi and flashed her multi couloured eyes at her.
All Kimi could do was stare at the woman in awe. Where had she come from. The ninja though, immediately saw her as an enemy and punced on her with his swords, gleaming in the air. Kimi wanted to shout to warn the lady, but it turned out she didn't need to.The woman stared at him and sighed in dismay. She raised her hand with flawless dignity and a gust of powerful wind burst out from her hand. The ninja yelled and was swept off his feet and flew straight into a tree. His eyes rolled at the back of his head and he slumped unconcious. Serves him right, Kimi thought.
" Who are you" Kimi breathed. The woman smiled kindly and floated up to her. She snapped her fingers and the rope fell to the ground. Kimi tried to walk towards the woman, but her legs seemed to have forgotten all type of movement. Kimi was about to fall flat on her face, when the woman, took hold of her fimly. As soon as the ladies hands touched her arms, Kimi felt sparks go through her body and a warm sensation filled her body.
" Keep still, my dear." The woman spoke softly, her voice melodic and calm which made Kimi's aching bones relax. The woman placed an outstretched hand on Kimi's heart. The pain subsided and she felt a burst of strength. The woman smiled satisfied. She had no idea how the woman had healed her, but Kimi was immensly grateful.
" Please, will you tell me who you are." Kimi asked. The woman placed a hand on Kimi's shoulder and said. " I am the five elements, Kimi Takeshi and you are my master. You are the next head of the Yose no bushi clan. The holder and wielder of the five elements. Fire, water, wind, earth and sky."
" The five elements." Kimi repeated, trying to make sense of what she heard. From the moment she had regained conciousness, she knew nothing about what was going on and it infuriated her.
" But-"
" It will all make sense soon my dear ".Kimi was cut short as the woman burst into flames of light and disappeared. And once again Kimi's world turned hazy.
Her eyes flew open and she almost yelled out in shock. For some reason, she was back in her room, and lying on her bed. Had it all been a dream, but she knew in her heart she couldn't have made it all up, besides she was still wearing the same kimono she had been wearing. Had the mysterious woman sent her back to her school.
She jumped out of her bed and checked to see what time it was, was it still night. She opened her door and saw that there was a faint light. It was the early morning. Her thoughts were disturbed by a knock on the door. Sakura and Tarou came in.
Kimi gulped, she had a lot of explainig to do, she quickly changed the subject that was on their minds. " So how was the party last night did you have fun." she asked cheerfully.
"Oh we had fun alright, except you weren't there." Tarou chided. Sakura stared at him and looked at Kimi to say sorry for his tone of voice.
" What he means to say is, where did you go running off to yesterday. We tried searching for you everywhere, but we finally saw you asleep in your room, and by that time the party had already finished and everyone was heading to bed."
Kimi looked down guiltily. " Im sorry i ruined your night, but I was just feeling tired that's all."
Tarou's expression softened and he looked at her concerned. " Why, are you feelig ill."
It stung Kimi to lie to her best friends, but she couldn't bring it upon herself to tell them what really did happen. She just needed some time to think about it. " No, I'm fine honestly. Now, come on we've got the whole morning off, don't give me those long faces. Lets go join the others for breakfast. We can think about what to do." she quipped.
They nodded and left her to change her clothes and get ready. Kimi walked to the door when she was done and put all her worries aside. Or atleast she tried to forget them.
