Many months passed since the turtles returned from Central America, Leo and Sky trained the younger turtles building their strengths and exposing their weaknesses.
Sky was currently in the dojo training while Leo and his brothers were watching tv like teens their age should, the female dragon was running through a difficult kata with her katana Splinter gave her a few weeks ago.
She was kneeled in the middle of the dojo katana sheathed on her hip...she quickly jumped to her feet into a fighting position before doing several strikes and kicks dodging her invisible opponent's attacks. After a few blocks she back flipped away landing in a crouch, she quickly unsheathed her katana before launching back at the 'opponent'.
She swung the long blade with great accuracy landing strike after strike dodging attack after attack. Sky moved at great speeds keeping her wings pinned to her back, she was unaware of the crowd of turtles that had gathered at the door...that is until clapping and cheers rang throughout the dojo.
She didn't flinch nor jump like a scared school girl she just calmly turned around and smiled before sheathing her katana back on her hip. Mikey was the first to speak...well shout "THAT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!" Leo had to cover his ear since his youngest brother was mere centimeters from him.
The mutant dragon smiled at the youngest turtle...he was such a goofball, Leo looked to his brothers his voice was smooth but stern "Guys give us a minute...please." With a nod the three younger turtles left without question heading back to watch tv again.
Sky sighed once they disappeared back out of the door...leaving only her and Leo, the mutant dragon's crystal eyes swept over the eldest turtles features. Concerned look, ragged stance, deep breathing, and increased heart rate...clearly worried about something or someone.
The blue clad turtle finally asked "Sky...by your performance something is bothering you...what is it?" Concern laced his tone making the female mutant smile lightly, with a sigh she spoke "It's just I've got this feeling that somethings missing...like we forgot something."
Leo walked over to his companion and placed a hand on her shoulder...their eyes locked before being broken apart as Leonardo pulled Sky into a hug. He rested his head on her shoulder and said in a hushed tone "Remember you can tell me anything Sky....I'm here for you."
The female dragon smiled and pulled away from her companion, she pecked the mutant leader on the cheek before turning around as she resumed her training. When she unsheathed her katana and got into fighting stance Leo unsheathed his own swords, with her back turned to him he charged.
Just as his blade was about to hit her shoulder she blocked the incoming attack with a loud clash as the katanas met one another. Leo's sapphire eyes burned with determination as did Sky's...both jumped away from each other slipping into fighting positions once more before both charged.
Constant clashes rang throughout the lair as the two eldest mutants sparred, their fighting was unlike any other with quick movements deadly strikes and lightning fast reflexes. They were evenly matched...since both trained in ninjutsu for years and learned to fight/kill dangerous gang members.
Clang! Their swords met once again but this time they didn't pull away instead they pushed trying to throw the other off balance, Sky smirked as she spread out her large wings...flapping them once was enough to push Leo back.
In a second he had regained his balance but sheathed his twin katanas....at his surrender she sheathed her blade as well. The blue banded turtle shook his head as he spoke "That was just unfair...using your wings to beat me despicable." The female mutant could only smirk at her companion's childish antics.
Sky looked into Leo's eyes and asked "Since when was a fight fair?" The male turtle didn't have to ponder long on the question it was true neither Purple Dragons nor Diablos fought fairly....they fought with guns and bats while all Sky and Leo had were katanas that's why they learned to shoot.
Why they learned to kill.
Leo and Sky were no longer just ninjas...they were living weapons, training to survive and protect the Homato Clan. Suddenly Leo was torn from his thoughts from...falling? He regained his senses only to see Sky standing above him smirking, the male mutant glared at Sky and spoke through gritted teeth "What was that for?"
Sky extended her hand offering to help the fallen leader to his feet, "You zoned out on me...you ok?" Leo gladly took her hand and she hauled him to his feet where he replied with a nod, Sky smiled but before she could say anything a high pitched scream met their ears.
The two eldest exchanged glances before darting to the main room of the lair only to see Mikey being chased by Raph, Sky face palmed and Leonardo rolled his sapphire eyes...leave it to Michelangelo to piss off Raph.
Leo and Sky walked over to Donnie, Leo asked the brainiac what the youngest did while Sky caught both Raph and Mikey, the female dragon watched as the two turtles ran after each other...confused by what she was waiting for Donnie decided to ask his eldest brother "What is she doing?"
Leo looked to his companion who had her wings pulled in loosely...with a smirk he replied "She's timing them...waiting for the right moment." Just as that was said Sky spread out her winging and launched into the air wings held out...she waited before pulling them above her head causing her to descend quickly.
Just as her feet hit the ground in a crouch she shot her wings out just in time to knock Mikey onto his plastron and Raph onto his shell, she folded her wings and looked to the fallen turtles a smirk found its way across her face.
Raph groaned before getting to his feet "What the shell was that for?!" His green eyes held nothing but anger but it didn't bother the female dragon one bit, Mikey was next to get to his feet...his baby blue eyes meet crystal and immediately knew what hit him.
Sky spoke sternly "For being idiots *trips both Raph and Mikey with tail* next time I'll hit you harder...get ready for patrol we leave in a hour." The three younger turtles nodded and raced off to their rooms knowing not to question Sky because let's just say no one wants a angry female dragon on their tail.
Leo looked to his companion only to see her retreating form heading back to the dojo...quickly catching up to her he could tell something was really tugging at her mind but what could be so important?
It's not like Vincent would come back and kill them all Leo made sure of that....right?
