The House:
The house was perfect for me. A great project, it will take a lot of money and time but, I've dreamed of doing this. I bought the house a week ago and I still have my apartment to stay in until it's done.
Today was the day that all of the contractor's came to look at the house, and see what they could do with it. I'm really hoping for my dream house to be real. Then maybe, just maybe I might find a guy that's not a conceited asshole or a fuck boy.
Anyway, how am I paying for all of this? Well, I already payed everything off. The contractors, materials, literally everything. I used the rest of my college fund, some from my parents (even though I clearly told them not to), my job. I've been saving for five years, I'm twenty five now.
The house fits my personality, I don't know how to explain it, but it does. I also love how the house is like stationed on a hill side in Los Angeles and it has a beautiful view of the city, all the buildings, it's amazing. I've hired the best, most talented contractors to do the house, like the best in the country and I'm excited!
I pull up into the rocky driveway and see a large group of men around the house. A guy next to the tree with black hair, he looks cute. I park and get out of the car, shoving the keys in my pocket. The cute guy began to look at me as I walked to talk to the 'head manager' as he called himself. "Sal, hi." I say and shake his hand.
"Ms. Drew-"
"Max, please."
"Max. We've discussed the billing right? When we finish?" Sal asks."Yes, I've signed all the papers, I've spoken to the company manager. Everything's done." I say. I could still feel the guy's stare on my back.
"Okay, we'll start right away. Everyone! Get to work!" Sal yelled. I turn around to get papers from my car, to run into the cute guy.
"I'm sorry." I say.
"It's okay, my name is-" The guy got cut off.
"Mark! Let's go! Start tearing up the roof!" Sal yells.
"Yeah, my name's Mark." Mark said as he ran a hand through his hair.
"My name is Max." I say.
"Okay, bye Max." Mark says and runs off. I watch him take off his shirt and pick up a bag. Holy shit. The way his muscles flexed, I about died.
I was taken from my thoughts by someone tapping me. "Max!" I finally heard someone. I whip around to face the person to see it was my friend, Kate.
"Oh, hi Kate." I say.
"What are you staring at?" Kate asks. "Oh my," I hear Kate. "Who is that?" She asked.
"Mark. I don't know his last name though. But his name is Mark." I said as I bit my lip. Mark's muscles begin to tense as he picked up another bag of something.
"So how is everything going here?" Kate asked.
"Well, they're ripping up the roof, that's it so far, just the roof." I say and turn a little to watch Mark. He was gone. I mentally sigh and turn back to Kate.
"Well, I'm gonna head off, I gotta pick up Camryn from dance, bye Max." Kate waves. I wave back. Orientation around and see Mark in front of me. Shirtless. Heart problems.
"Max, is there any water?" Mark asks.
I snap back into reality. "Yeah, yeah, just a minute." I walk back to my car and pull out a cooler from the back seat. I get Mark's water and just hand it to him.
"Thanks, Max, bye." Mark says and leaves. Damn he's hot.
