A gentle warm breeze caresses my face,
I think I've found my happy place.
The electric blue sky is dotted with cotton ball clouds,
The children are laughing & the carousel music is loud.
Seagulls fret about, little white streaks in the air.
The sun bakes my skin, I am without a care.
The unforgiving waters are calm & at bay,
The world is suddenly beautiful & all my woes have gone away.
An escape from my hectic world,
Where in the harshness of winter the snowflakes swirl.
My worries are worlds away from my wandering mind,
In this place where the cotton candy is sweet & the people are kind.
If only the whole world was this full of peace,
The burdens on my shoulders would be released.
However, at least I have my dreamlike escape:
A place that I know that I can be safe.
