RILEY'S POV:
I am so nervous it's a few days after New Years and I haven't talked to Maya since it. She always comes over and I think she is mad about the New Years blurt.
*hears a knock on window*
Me: Maya, what are you doing here?
Maya: This is my bay window too right?
Me: I thought you were mad at me.
Maya: Why would I be mad at you?
Me: but... New Years and
Maya: Ok look, it was unexpected news but I would never let that ruin our friendship. We will figure that out later. For now let's be happy it's a New year.
Wow I didn't think she would be that chill with it, but then again she is Maya. I guess she is right lets be happy.
Me: Yeah you're right. Let's go
*heads of to school*

Everything at school seems normal. Not any different than before. Then it hits me I see him. Lucas at his locker grabbing books for history. Oh great here we go.
Maya: Hey
Lucas: Hi
Riley: Hey
* awkward silence *
Farkle: I don't mean to kill the silence but we're all gonna be late if just stand here.
It was just so awkward standing there. Now we are just like strangers. Ugh I hate not being able to talk about random things and Maya calling him ranger Rick or teasing him about his past. I know everyone expects me to be sun shinny Riley but it's hard when you and your best friend act like strangers.
Cory: Riley you awake
Me: Oh sorry. What was the question?
Cory: Its time for your presentation.
Oh great! I guess that's what happens when you daydream in class.
Riley: That's right. *laughs nervously*Umm here it is.
*dose presentation blah blah blah*

*school day ends*
I go home and think about what is going or happen next. All of a sudden my phone goes off.
