"Boo!" Her brother jumped out from behind the couch as Adelaide walked by not budging nor bat an eye. She turned a right on the stair case railing and ran up the stairs towards her room with her brother right behind her. As she made her way in, she slammed the door shut and locked it, only to hear him banging playfully. "Addie, pretty please open the door." She slung herself on her bed, listening to the dying footsteps of her brother.
Surprisingly for sixteen, he was incredibly child like in his actions outside of school of course. She was very realistic and mature for a fourteen year old. Her family had only moved into the old Silvian farmhouse a few days ago, leaving her mildly bored from lack of knowledge of things here and curious to find out things about the strange farmhouse. Boxes were scattered everywhere from the living room to the kitchen and from the bedrooms to the bathroom, all containing either books, photos or fascinating artwork . The worn out wood on the outside was peeling and the inside smelled like any old house smell but no, the barn smelled even worse, with horse crap everywhere.
She didn't mind moving, seeing as she had no social life what so over. She didn't need friends. She had herself and that's all she needed. A child with a different mind. She thought this generation was a clone of each other. Everyone was into the same boring trend that popped up every week. She stayed off the internet as much as possible. She wasn't bullied for her wanting to be by herself, just left alone. The lack of communication with others caused her mind to be psychotic to a certain extent. She didn't care about others well-beings, except for her family. When it came to others she completely shut them out, not listening to one word word they spewed. She was simple, that's all she ever was.
