Chapter 43

1 year later

"Mom! Guess what!" Annica came screaming into mine and Nates room. "What baby? Daddy just fell asleep" I said. He had a rough night. He had no sleep and was up crying because Kaylan was in a car accident. "Aiden just told me he proposed to Cass" she said. My eyes grew bigger. "what! Seriously?!" I said. She nodded. "Oh my god, that's so great" I whispered. "I thought I'd share the news. He told me to" she smiled leaving. I smiled and looked down at Nate, out cold. I traced my cold fingers around his neck, scratching lightly. He always loved when I did that. He rolled his neck, rolling into me. "Hi baby" I smiled. "Hi" he yawned. "Go back to sleep. You got no sleep whatsoever." I told him. "You keep scratching. I like that" he smiled laying his head on my stomach. I smiled, "Goodnight baby" I whispered as he wrapped his arms securely around my waist, leaving his hands on my ass.

3 hours later Nate woke up and sighed. "I need to go see her." He said, referring to Kaylan. "Babe she's fine. I just talked to your mom. She woke up about an hour ago" I smiled rubbing his back. "Thank god" he murmured. "Now cmon. Let's go celebrate" I smiled jumping up. "Celebrate? Who's birthday?" He questioned. "Oh shit you were asleep. So uh, Aiden proposed" I told him. "LET GO" I said changing the subject. "He what?" Nate said in shock. "You heard me, NOW LETS GO" I giggled pulling on him. He smiled, still in shock. We went downstairs so I could make breakfast, seeing Ethan sitting at the table with Annica playing Mario Kart on their DS'. "Children, what do we want for breakfast?" I asked while Nates arms wrapped around my waist. "Waffles!" "Pancakes!" Oh lord. "Well um, we can only have one I'm afraid. Which is it Nate?" I said. He frowned, "Both!" He pouted. "Seriously." I said. "Fine, pancakes. Sorry Annica" he said, sitting next to her. "It's alright" she giggled. "What do we all want to do today? That we can agree on" I said pulling out pancake mix. "Can we go to the beach?" Annica announced. "Yeah!" Ethan smiled. "The beach it is" Nate smiled. "Good, we can agree in this house. Nate, call Aiden and see if him and Cass want to join, as well as the John, Lexi and the boys and Sam, Julianna and Abrielle. Maybe the Jacks too? Mayesa and Madison?" I suggested. "Oh okay. And Johnsons sister won't be able to come, she went out of state for a bit." He said. I nodded, continuing to make breakfast.

"Mama!" I heard Ethan scream. "Come in the water!" He yelled while Nate splashed him. I smiled.  "Yeah mama!" Nate shouted. "Should I do it?" I asked the girls as they both played with their kids. "Go for it" they smiled. I stood up and shook my hands of to get rid of the sand. I reached the water and stuck my feet in, "Holy shit it's freezing!" I squealed. Nate smirked, walking towards me. "No, no! No, N-Nate s-stop!" I yelled trying to run away. "Not so fast baby mama" he chuckled, pulling me by my waste. "St-stop" I giggled. "Nope, you're coming with me, baby" he smirked. "Please don't drop me in the water. I know you choice done this before!" I screamed, looking at the number of people watching us in awe. Annica was laughing with Ethan and playing with him. I saw my face coming close to the water while Nate held onto my waist. "Sam help me!" I yelled kicking my feet. "Sorry sis, no can do" he smiled as I collided into the water. I came up for air, glaring at Nate. "I hate you" I shivered. "Nah, you looooove me" he dragged, wrapping his arms around me. "You wish I did" I said, splashing water at him. He chuckled. "No, I know you do" he smirked, "how?" I asked. "Well, for one. You would've stopped talking to me the first day we met when I walked in your house. Then you would've said no to marrying me. AND never had kids with me. And because you'll love me for this" he said. I'm confused. I looked at him smiling past me. "NO WAIT!" I yelled as someone grabbed my ankles pulling me under. I screamed, letting myself fall. "I fucking hate you all!" I pouted. "It's okay mommy I love you" Ethan said hugging me tightly. "Haha thank you baby, mama loves you too" I smiled. "Yeah mom me too" Annica giggled. "Me too mom!" Aiden yelled, joining our group hug. "Wow all my kids turned on me" Nate pouted. "You shouldn't have dropped me" I smirked. "It was a joke!" He pouted some more. "Oh shutup already and get over here!" I laughed opening my arms out to him. "I love you dork" I smiled, kissing his lips quickly.

"Well, today was fun. Other then being drowned to death by my own husband" I said yawning at the end. "Hey! It was fun" he chuckled. "For you maybe!" I smiled. "Let's head home and get everybody bathed so we can cuddle all night" I said. He nodded. picking up Ethan in his arms. "Aw is my little boy tired?" I said, poking his cheeks. "Hey! I'm not little!" He yawned. "Yes, baby you are" I laughed. He smiled and buried his face into Nates neck. "Just like mama" I smirked at Nate. "Just like her" he mumbled back, putting Ethan in the backseat and giving him a blanket Nate had. "Annica baby get in the car" I said. She smiled and slipped her phone in her pocket. "Was that...a boy you were talking to?" I whispered to her. She smiled, "I guess you can say that" she giggled. I gasped, "my baby is talking to boys?" I laughed as she sat in the backseat. "What about talking to boys?" Nate said buckling up. "Annica is texting one" I smiled. "She's what? Last time I checked she's only fourteen. Too young" he said driving back home. "Nate," I said hoping he'd understand. "Too young" he mumbled, through his teeth. I sighed. "Who is he baby?" I asked her. "Ethan" she said, with a smile evident in her tone. "The one from kindergarten?!" I smirked. "Yeah, him" she laughed nervously. "That's cute baby" I smiled at her. (A/N: lol Ethan is Ethan Dolan aka 1/2 of the Dolan Twins bc I hate myself ; not really I love the twins but yeah bye)

Once we got home, Nate stormed inside leaving me and the kids outside. "I made him mad, didn't I" Annica sighed sliding her phone in her pocket. "No, don't think that. He's just being dad" I laughed. "Bring Ethan in please" I told her. She nodded and lifted him from his seat, carrying him in behind me. I walked in, looking for Nathan. I got to our room, and he was laying on his stomach on the bed, shirtless and in basketball shorts. "Baby," I said shutting the door. He didn't respond, he just groaned. "Don't ignore me. Talk" I said. He moved his head and looked up at me. "I keep fucking up, Anastasia. Annica is fourteen but I should trust her like a parent should with teenagers" he sighed. "I just don't want her growing up, my son is engaged for gods sake" he chuckled at the end. "I understand. It's a lot to hold in, but Nate it's reality baby. Don't let her think you are upset with her, she needs you" I told him, rubbing his back. He nodded, sitting up right and pulling me in his lap. "What makes me feel better, baby girl?" He asked pouting. "Kisses, I know" I laughed, giving him multiple kisses, long and short. "Thank you" he smiled. "Now get up and go talk to your daughter big boy" I smirked. He nodded and got up, picking me up with him. "Annica, come in the kitchen so we can talk" he said smiling. This is gonna go better then expected.

"Princess I want nothing more than to see you happy and clearly this boy makes you happy" Nate said. Annica smiled and looked down at her lap, something I always did too. "So what's gonna happen is, I'm gonna take your phone away, and you will cut off any connection to him" Nate said. Annicas head shot up. "B-but d-dad!" She screamed. "ANNICA, ANNICA! I'm kidding, I'm kidding baby" I said hugging her. She breathed out heavily, making Nate and I laugh to ourselves. "For real though, what's gonna happen is you can and will still talk to this young man, and this Saturday we will all go out to dinner. Does this sound okay to you?" Nate said. She smiled at me then at Nate. "I'd like that" she smiled. "I love you angel" Nate smiled. "But let me just tell you, in taking this way easier than Uncle Sammy and the others" he chuckled. She nodded. "Yeah, I know" she smiled. "Go text this boy and tell him about Saturday" I smiled at her. "Thank you mom" she said running upstairs. "Well, that went better than I had expected." Nate said smiling. "Hey, you did good. I love you" I smiled kissing his cheek.
