"spill." nat demanded, before flipping the lid off of her tub of strawberry ice cream.

"well, nothing really happened." i shrugged, as i shoved my spoonful of ice cream in my mouth.

"lies." nat mumbled "but seriously, what did i miss?"

"well, he walked me home after you left with brendan and then asked me if i wanted to go to the movies with him and i said yeah." i shrugged, taking some ice cream from nat.

"cute, cute." nat nodded. i shrugged.

"does your mom know?"

"yup." i replied, popping the 'p'.

"what how? what did she say?"

"apparently she saw hayes and i, but she's surprisingly fine with it." i shrugged.

"i ship it."

"ship what?" i questioned.

"you and hayes! duh thank about it. you guys would have beautiful babies by the way." nat grinned "i'll be an auntie!"

"babies? we aren't even dating!"

"yet." she smirked.

"yadda, yadda, yadda. help me pick an outfit out." i demanded. nat nodded, putting the ice cream down, she walked next to me and together we started pulling out different outfits.

"you look cute." nat complimented. i turned from looking at myself in the mirror and smiled at her "thanks."

my phone buzzed against my bed-side table. nat chucked me my phone, luckily i caught it and pressed the home screen button.

blue eyes 💙: im outside.

"have fun! i'll here when you get back so you can tell me everything." nat waved, after i told her hayes texted me saying he was outside.

"oh god. see you later, nat" i laughed, waving back.

i rushed downstairs, almost tripping down a few steps in that process.

"see you later mama, te amo!"

"te amo, lita!" my mom yelled back.

my mom obviously already knew about the date, it was my dad who didn't. but he wouldn't know either way, he's never home so he wouldn't be caught up on family details and such. he claims its his job and the "business" trips, but i'm not stupid. i know he's hiding something.

"hey." hayes grinned, widely, once he saw me come out of my house.

"hi." i blushed, giving a small wave.

"i find it cute how you're still shy around me." hayes chuckled, i elbowed hayes who laughed at me. "that didn't even hurt."

"whatever, grier."

hayes intertwined our fingers together, and i rested my head on his shoulder. it was honestly perfect, just being here with hayes. it wasn't anything out of the ordinary, it was perfect and plain just how i liked it.

hayes and i talked a lot on the walk here, while we watched the movie we talked here and there. hayes' voice was soothing, i could honestly listen to him talk everyday. we could talk about the littlest thing but he could somehow make it into this big, beautiful thing, that's what i liked about him. not only that, but he understood me. something no one could really do, especially nat. she claimed i was hard to read, but with hayes i'm crystal clear.

"you know, lolita, you're beautiful." hayes whispered in my ear, which sent chills down my spine.

"thanks, hayes, no one has ever called me that." i blushed, "besides my father,  but he doesn't anymore. so you're technically the first."

"and, i'm gonna remind you daily, you're beautiful."
