My fairytale has come true, walking down the isle to be released by my father to the other man I love in my life. I never thought that I would be marrying a man that I once didn't favor, but that's the funny part, no one on gods green earth knows how love works. I think this maybe a bit confusing so let me take you back to when I first meet this man, my future husband, my fiancé, my boyfriend, my friend, my roommate, my enemy.
My name is Dillion Stokes. I am from Pleasant Ridge, Mi, I am 23 years old now but back when I meet this man I was 19. Starting my Sophomore scholarship year at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan . After my first year living on campus I decided to move into a two bedroom apartment in walking distance to my classes at the Medical School and the hospital. That sounds pretty great and easy right? No, the apartment was to expensive to rent out by myself that I needed a roommate to help cover the bills, but by this time many of the college students already found roommates except for one. His name was Tyler Lafferty and I doubted that he would want to room with me after all the shit he put me through last year. When I first moved here we dated for about 3 months and then I called it off, He wasn't happy about it. He tried to get my scholarship to the university abolished, which I didn't take lightly. I got him suspended for tampering with my scholarship money. Ever since then we weren't on the best of terms. But I have to push the thing aside because I need the rent money, so I scheduled an interview with him through the college so he wouldn't know it was me. He accepted the interview and planned to meet me at a coffee shop in downtown Lansing on a Saturday.
I was waiting there for a good 15 minutes before he showed up, he was late as usual.
"Tyler!?" I said trying to get his attention
"Dillion?, Are you the pers-, No this is not happening, I'm leaving" before he exited the door I stopped him.
"Please, just listen to me for 10 minutes!" He still kept trying to leave and then he paused and turn around.
"And why should I listen to a girl who broke up with me, got me suspended and and never said sorry?"
By this time I was so infuriated, but I tried to remain civil because I was in public, I don't want people to think I'm crazy then I would never get a roommate.
"Number one, you tried to get rid of my scholarship money that I earned by hard work and you expect me to apologize? No Hun, that's not how it works, now you can sit your ass down and listen. You at least owe me that."
He was so embarrassed, his face got all red, it matched his crystal blue eyes.
"Okay I'm listening" he said it so quietly trying not to draw anymore attention to himself
"I am renting an apartment that is too expensive for just me to maintain. It's a two bedroom, two bath apartment so you would get a separate room from me. We share the kitchen the living room and dining room. We cut the rent in half and they rest of the water management, electricity, and Cable and Internet bills." I sounded so firm there is no way he could say no to this great deal.
"Okay, but twice a month I get to have my friends over to hang out, I get to make dinner twice a week and you HAVE to eat it, no matter how gross it might be and I can have girls over whenever"
I had to think about the amount of girls he would bring over, but his friends are pretty attractive so why not have a little fun with this.
"You have a deal"
We signed the contract with the building manager and in a week we move his stuff in.
"Hey princess!" Ugh that's the name he called me when we were dating " I'm actually glad that I'll be able to keep and eye on you now".
