Killian's POV
There's been no dark one for a while now and things are a lot more peaceful. I walk into the sheriff's station and deposit Emma's grilled cheese and root beer in front of her. She looks up at me, smiles and gives me a quick kiss. I look over at her father, who was so involved in some paperwork he almost didn't know I was there. I was just about to sit down when the phone rang, breaking the silence. David answers it and has a short conversation.
"This is the sheriff's station." Then talking on the other end oth the line. "Is anything missing?" More talking. "Okay. We'll be there soon." David hung up the phone. We stared at him while he put on his jacket.
"That was Belle. Someone broke into the shop."
"Was anything taken?" Emma asks while grabbing her red leather jacket. How she still has it in mint condition, I have no idea.
"We don't know yet. We're going to have to take inventory of everything once we get there." He grabs the keys and we all pile into the old truck and head over there. As we pulled in front of the pawn shop, we saw the broken window and a surprisingly calm Rumpelstiltskin checking fragile things and putting the unbroken ones in a box. We walk in and stop in the doorway. There's broken glass all over with books, papers, and other random things scattered on top of it. We carefully make our way over to the married couple.
"It looks like not many things are broken and none of my personal things are taken." Mr. Gold says. I nod and look over the mess that had been created again.
"I'm going to call some people and have them come and help. It'll go much faster." Emma mumbles as she pulls her phone from out of her pocket. She talks to a few people and soon they were arriving. Snow got there first with Henry and Neal, then Regina and Robin show up shortly after. Everyone quickly gets to work with Henry sweeping up glass, Belle reorganizing, and everyone else checking off things on clipboards as they find the items. Time goes by quickly as we talk about nothing and everything at the same time while we all switch off holding Neal when he starts to get fussy.
I start to look at books in the corner that have been all knocked off the very large bookshelf. I sigh and sit in the recently sweeped floor and start to check the titles and the damage. One of the books is being propped up by something. I set it to the side and see a small red velvet box. I open it to find a ring fit for a princess. I look over to Emma who is smiling and being the woman I love. I leave a mental note to myself to come back when this whole thing is sorted out and get that ring for my princess.
