chapter 1

"Lacey wake up your gonna be late for school" my older brother luke says

Hold on pause let me tell you a little bit about myself my name is Lacey Conrad I have blonde hair with blue eyes,I'm 5'3,im seventeen years old,I love music I have deep passion for writing I'm one of those girls who get straight A's yeah I'm a geek but so what, I have a older brother named luke he is 23 years old he's protective over me so I never had a boyfriend before he says there all fuckboys anway and I didn't need one, he took care of me since I was 10 years old. He's always been there for me ever since our mom and dad died in a car acccident he had to drop out of school justs to take care of me and I thank him for that anyway back to the story

"What time is it?" I yawn rubbing my eyes

"7:50" he says school started at 8:25 my eyes shot open I push luke out of my room throwing on a plain white t-shirt,light wash jeans and some black combat boots I straighten my hair I brush my teeth when I'm done I grab my backpack heading downstairs

I grab an apple "bye luke" I yell running out the door my bus arrives on time I hop on seeing my best friend Cara in the back I sit beside her

"Whats up girl" I said she chuckles

"Nothing much I heard there's a new kid coming to our school"she smirks

"Really Whats his/her name?"I ask

"His name is Matthew Espinosa he's a bad boy he's from Virginia they say he used to sell drugs, his in a gang, he Robbed people he got caught went to jail his mother had to bail him out,she got tired of it and sent him to His dad and now he's here" she says

"How do you know that stuff?" I asks

"Gossip Gary" she shrugs

"Oh you know sometimes gossip Gary makes that stuff up I bet Matthew is the sweetest kid" I smile

"Lacey im being serious stay away from him he's dangerous" she says looking at me with a serious face

I roll my eyes "stop believing in everything people put on the internet" she chuckles

We arrive to school I hop off cara following behind me I walked inside the school building seeing the back of my boy best friend Brown hair

"Cameron!"I practically scream jumping on his back causing him to stumble a Little

"Hey lacey" he chuckles I jump off his back as he wraps his arms around my waist giving me a tight hug lifting me off the ground

Cameron and I always had a thing for each other and every one in school knew it We just never made it official because we were scared that our friendship would be ruin

We pull away "I missed you so much how was Louisiana?" I ask looking up at him

Before he could reply the School doors open causing everyone to look that way in the doorway was a blonde headed boy with dark Brown eyes this must be the bad boy Cara was talking about he was wearing a black t-shirt,dark blue jeans and black high top vans he didn't look like a bad boy at all

The hallway went quiet everyone whispering and staring at the new guy he began walking down the hallway His eyes met mine being the shy person I am I looked down at the floor shifting uncomfortably he stopped at a locker which was two lockers away from mine that must be his locker

Everyone went to What they were doing once the bad boy left out of sight

"Do you know him?" Cameron asked looking down at me

"No" I reply

"Then why was he staring at you like that" he replies

"I don't know" I shrug

"Stay away from him okay? he looks dangerous" he said shutting his locker

"Okay dad" I say sarcastically he playfully rolls his eyes

"Lets get to class" he says putting his hand on my lower back as we walked to English I sat in my assign seat  which was all the way in the back Cameron sat in the front I didn't mind being in the back that means nobody will pay attention to me which was good that's how I liked it

Ms.Ross came in the room beginning the lesson English was my favorite subject I was really phenomenal at it actually I began writing down the notes ms.Ross out on the board when the bad boy came bursting through the door

"Late on your first day Mr.Espinosa" ms.Ross shook her head

"Yeah I was too busy looking for hell and look I'm here"he says sarcastically everyone began laughing

She scolds him "Take your seat next to lacey,lacey raise your hand"She said I slowly raise my hand the bad boy looked at me and took his seat in the empty chair that was next to me

Ms.Ross began the lesson again I felt bad for the new boy he probably doesn't have any friends maybe I should introduce myself

"Hey I'm lacey Whats your name"I asks him even though I knew his name I wanted to hear it from him

"It's Matt"he says dryly not bothering to look at me typing away on his phone

"I see your not that friendly" I murmur but loud enough for him to hear

He puts his phone away then looks at me "nope"he says giving me a fake smile I turn away looking back at the teacher wow he was such an asshole but it was for a reason he's obviously have trust issues and I'm gonna find out why

"You better tell your boyfriend to stop staring before he gets hurt" Matt smirks I roll my eyes

"He's not my boyfriend plus he heard about you so he's trying to protect me from you" I say

"Awe that's cute no girl could resist staying away from me" he smirks

"Your such a asshole" I reply

"And your a Bitch" he says wow that kinda stung I roll my eyes picking up my books as the bell rung

It was lunch and I couldn't stop thinking about Matt

"Lacey whats wrong with you you've been quiet ever since 1st period" Cameron says

"Its nothing" I say playing with my food

"Is it because of that Matt kid what did he say?" Cameron asked

"I thought I told you to stay away from him"Cara says I roll my eyes

"Its not my fault Mrs.Ross sat him next to me look I don't even wanna talk about it"I said still picking with my food

Nash,aaron,taylor and tez sat at the table along with Matt

"Hey guys I hope it's okay if Matt sits with us?" Nash says

"No we don't mind" Cameron says but I could tell he did mind that Matt was sitting with us I could tell that Matt and him knew eachother because when Matt sat down they both gave each other a hard cold stare

"Matt"Cameron says in a mean tone

"Cameron" matt mimics him

"Do you guys know each other"I asks them

"Yeah we use to be old friends" Cameron says
