"Ivy's here!" My mom shouted as I came sprinting down the stairs.
"Got it, thanks." I smiled grabbing an apple from around her as she packed my brother and sisters lunch.
"Have a good first day of junior year!" My mom cheered as I skipped down the steps, Apple in my mouth.

"relax you'll be fine" Ivy reassured her sister, an incoming freshman.
"Paige hey! want to walk in with us?" Some group of girls called her over as she said her good byes to us and ran off.
"Jeez she was getting pretty annoying" Ivy laughed
"Take it easy Iv, we were freshman on-"
"aye baby girl what's shaking?" My boyfriend of a little over a year asked.
"Uh.. nothing... Ethan are you alright?" I laughed.
"oh yeah baby! We are juniors let loose" Ethan winked before running into the school with all his jock friends.
"okay, he is definitely not sober" Ivy laughed.

first period
there was a brand new face sitting to the left of me on his phone and something about him told me to engage.
"Canada boy?" I giggled.
"You could tell? How'd you know" He asked, a little frantic.
"your phone case dummy." I laughed pointing at his clear case with a picture of the Canadian flag inside.
"Shawn" he smiled holding out his hand.
"Emily" I smiled back, shaking his hand.
We sat through the class passing notes back and forth on multiple yellow post its, talking about his life before he moved and honestly he was very interesting.
The bell rang and that was the last I saw of Canada boy for that morning. I had all but 9th period with Shawn in the after noon.
"So how's Ethan?" Ivy asked as we walked back to her car.
"Different... I mean ever since his mom got remarried to some guy in Nevada this summer. He never really talked about it he just changed" I confessed.
"Uh well speak of the devil" Ivy laughed as Ethan walked over and pressed his body up to mine.
"Ethan... Are you seriously drunk right now?" I asked, backing up against Ivy's car.
"Babe I'm not even that drunk like only a little so chill out" He smirked while moving closer, trapping me against the car.
"Okay buddy, you get in the back we are going to drive you home" I laughed.
After the little run in with Ethan, We went back to my house.
"So...Who's this Canadian Boy?" Ivy smiled, wiggling her eyebrows handing me a familiar, scribbled on yellow post it
