Chapter 1

New girl at school? Nah. Transfer? Nah. Nerd wanting someone popular to notice them? Nah. 

A girl who is neither popular or nerdy, gives no shit about popularity, and perhaps a little oblivious? Bingo.  

Speaking of school, grades were your first priority, then it was Taehyung, your boyfriend. 

'Hey (Y/N)' Weird hey? You have a boyfriend, but you're not happy. 

He puts him arm around your shoulder and ruffles your hair, you slap him. 'Taehyung! Quit doing that!' He chuckles before leaning down to peck your cheek. He's different, you keep telling yourself. He's not popular, but recently he's been getting involved with the popular kids, aka Jimin and his group. 

'Did my lovely girlfriend miss me after not seeing me for hmm...two periods?' He takes your bag before you get a chance to protest. As you walk home together, he hums again, waiting for your response. 'Nah.' He puffs out his cheeks in the most adorable way, you can't resist cupping his face and pulling him down to meet your lips. 

'(Y/N)? I have a question to ask you.' He suddenly turns serious. Isn't it scary how people can change from bubbly to serious in a split second? 

You look at him and wait for him to start. 'Why don't you hang out with me at lunch anymore? I mean, we used to eat lunch together...why have you been distant around me lately?' You knew this was coming. You escape from his grasp and stand in front of him, reaching for his hands. 

'Taehyungie, I'm not being distant around you...it's just that...I don't feel comfortable with your new friends.' 

Ahh, he gets it now. 'I mean, it's awkward. They're the popular people, Taehyung. I don't know them and I'm sure they don't know me. Why don't you just hang out with Jin and Hoseok? They-' He cut you off with another peck on your cheek. 

'They're boring. You may not know my new friends (Y/N), but I'm sure as hell they know you.' He shot you a wink before running around. 

You stand there dumbfounded. 

'Yah! Kim Taehyung? What do you mean??'
