"Okay 1...2...3... Push!"yelled MistyGrave. Starlight pushed with all her might. "Okay,Starlight, last push ......NOW!" Yelled the small medical wolf. Starlight heaved. Then all was silent. All the medical wolves in Starlights den sighed sadly at the dead pup that came out of Starlight. " Starlight, I'm sorry but the first pup is dead. Lets hope the next four live. "Mewl" barked the baby pup that everyone thought was dead. "Yeah!" Everyone howled. BlackSin the only male medical wolf picked up the pup and set it next to it's mother. "It's a male" he said. StarLight groaned in pain from her next pup getting ready to come. "Ok again. 1...2...3...PUSH!"
Later once every one of StarLights pups were birthed and checked Starlight fell asleep. Five of the wolves went and grabbed the pups while two set up space in wolf nursery. WaterSong stayed to check StarLight to make sure she was fine. WaterSong walked over to the now unconscience (sp?) StarLight but when she checked for a pulse she found none. Now afraid for her best friend and patients life WaterSong panicked. "Help! Help! Help" she howled in urgency. In five minutes the other seven wolves showed up. "What's wrong!" yelled WindySage. "I can't feel a pulse!" Yelled WaterSong. SnowSight ran over to check. Everyone held their breath as SnowSight checked. Not long after she sighed. "What she speaks is of the truth. StarLight has taken the Soul Path and has left us with two girls and three boys. We as a pack must take care of and name her pups. We will need a dame(girl) and a satch(boy) to care for the pups. Are there any volunteers?" SnowSight asked. Nobody raised their paw. "We must speak with the Alpha FlameSword first."said BrightTail. " I agree" said DarkPaw. "As do I " spoke GreyStorm. "Then lets go" said WindySage.
Once they entered the Alpha's den they all got in a sideways line. Alpha FlameSword looked at each individual. They all lowered their heads in respect. "You may speak" he said kindly. MistyGrave being the head of the medical wolves spoke."Alpha we regret to inform that StarLight did not survive the delivery of her pups.And since her mate died returning from scouting we came to ask where to send the pups." FlameSword thought for a minute. "How about you send them to FluffyTail, since she can't have pups." He said. The medical wolves nodded in agreement and left.
Once they reached FluffyTail's den they heard her crying about how she wanted to have pups." I feel bad for her." DarkPaw whispered to BrightTail. They all quickly walked into FluffyTail's den. "FluffyTail" said DarkSin."We have been sent by the Alpha to give you StarLights pups as she has passed." FluffyTail looked at them astonished. "Really?" she whispered almost so quiet that the medical wolves couldn't hear it. "Yes" said WaterSong kindly. "But" she added "You have to name them". FluffyTail nodded. WindySage picked up a pup that had a black body witha white tail, but also the young pup had two orange feet and two white feet. It's ears were white while it had one orange and one yellow eye. She had to long caines (k-9s) that hung out the sides of her mouth and went past her chin. Over all the pup was beautiful. "This one" said GreyStorm "is a female.She was born second." FluffyTail stood up and examined the young she-pup. "I name her......... SunshineMoondust." She finally decided. GreyStorm nodded as WindySage set her down and picked up a boy. The boy pup was white with different sized grey spots.He had bright green eyes. "This is a boy.He was the first born"said SnowSight."This shall be.....MoonCrater." She said while lovingly liking the boys fur. SnowSight nodded and stepped back as WindySage picked up another girl. DarkPaw stepped forward. This girl pup was yellow with orange dots shaped like stars all over her body.Her eyes were light brown. "This girl was born last" stated DarkPaw. "She will be called StarTrail." said FluffyTail answering the unasked question. DarkPaw nodded and walked away. WindSage replaced the girl with a boy. The boy was all black with a long bushy tail. But starting from the top of his head and trailing down his back all way to the end of his tail were spikes. The spikes were a shiny purple and were very long and sharp.He also had long caines like his sister SunshineMoondust ."This boy was the third one born." Said WaterSong. FluffyTail sat there thinking about a good name " It's either DinoWolf or SpikeTail" she said to WaterSong. WaterSong thought for a while. "SpikeTail" she said while nodding. FluffyTail nodded also. WindySage picked up the last pup.Which was a male. He was white with fuscia eyes. His fur had a ghostly glow."This male was the fourth one born" said BlackSin."He will be GhostWolf" FluffyTail quickly responded. "Ok we are leaving them in your care.Goodbye." Said GreyStorm. After that the medic wolves left back to the medic den.
FLUFFYTAIL'S P.O.V.
As the medic wolves left I couldn't help but shake with excitement. My dream finally came true I now have pups. I couldn't have my own because one my mate died in the war that happened between us and the small cats two years ago plus I fought in that and was clawed straight through my stomach which caused my body to not be able to reproduce. But anyway. As I looked at the pups I remembered I had to make beds for them. I quickly found some extra dear pelts and set five of them in the far corner. I easily placed all five kittens on a pelt. As they fell asleep I went to the kill pile in the center of the campsite. I grabbed a medium sized buck and dragged it to my den. I quickly ate it and got ready for the pups to wake up. Just then SunshineMoondust and SpikeTail woke up. They ran over to me no doubt having smelt the food. They sat in front of me whining. I sighed but quickly regergitated(puked) up some of the food I just ate. My two pups ate it quickly then starred running around. In about five minutes the remaining three came over for food and joined in the other pups game of tag. I smiled happily. 'This can't get any better' I thought. Once my pups had gotten tired they went back to the dear pelt they woke up on. They went quicker then I could bark an 'I love you'. So I fell asleep thinking of how good my life just turned out.
