"Wake up, Autumn!" I hear a familiar voice say repeatedly. After about what seems like forever of them telling me to wake up, I bring myself to open my eyes. Clair, my obnoxious little sister, is standing beside my bed. "Mum wanted me to tell you that breakfast is ready."
"Seriously?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. "You couldn't have just said food instead of standing here, telling me to wake up? I would've been downstairs in a heart beat."
"I could've."
"Just get out of my room." I say pushing the covers off of me. "Tell mum that I'll be down in a few." Obediently, she walked out my room. But, right before she shut my door, she gave me the finger. Ugh teenagers.
I stood up and stretched my arms above my head. My iPhone rang from underneath my silky, dark purple duvet. It's my boss
"Hello?" I answered.
"Good morning, Autumn." He greets. "I need to talk to you. It is very important."
"Did I do something wrong, sir?" I ask, sitting down on the bed.
"No, not at all." He answers, chuckling. "Can you be here in two hours?"
"Yes."
"Wear something nice, I have someone I want to introduce you to."
"Yes, sir."
"And stop calling me 'sir'." He sounded annoyed. "I keep telling you to call me David."
"Okay."
"I must be going. See you soon."
"You too." I mumble, hanging up. I set my phone on my nightstand and take a steaming hot shower. I tried to concentrate on something other than what David said to me. Who is this person that he wants me to meet? Why does he want me to look nice? Maybe he's really going to fire me....
Quit being ridiculous, Autumn. That would never happen. You're his favourite employee. He even told you that himself.
I roll my eyes at the silly thoughts that go through my head. I step out of the shower and wrap my plush, fluffy, white robe around my naked body.
"Autumn!" I hear Clair yell from the other side of the bathroom door. "Do you know where my iPhone is?
"The last time I saw it is when you let Aaron borrow it." I reply, opening the door. Cool air from my room washes over me, causing me to shiver. "Is he still here?"
"No, he left over a hour ago." She sits down on my bed. "I'll just use your phone to call him." I walk over to my giant closer and began searching for something to wear. I pick out a mint long sleeved shirt, dark navy blue ruffled shorts, small bowtie platform pumps, and I necklace my mum had. Bought me a few years ago. I had just gotten a manicure yesterday, so at least I don't have to paint my nails.
"Does he know where your phone is at?" I ask Clair as she says my phone down.
"He's a useless dumbfuck." She mutters storming out of the room, slamming the door behind her. I just shrug my shoulders and get dressed. I blow dry my hair and curl it. I then hurry downstairs to eat before I did my makeup.
Mum wasn't in the kitchen, so I guess she already left for work. A stack of Belgium waffles was sitting in the middle of the table. I grab a couple, put them on a plate, and walk back upstairs to my room. Usually I eat syrup with waffles, but I'm kinda in a rush.
I eat quickly and I do my makeup. I remember what David said about looking nice, so I did a simple smokey eye with winged eyeliner and applied baby pink lipstick to my lips.I don't bother saying goodbye to Clair, she doesn't care anyways. I grab my phone and keys before going downstairs. My phone vibrated my wristlet. I fish it out and answer it.
"Hello?"
"Are almost at the office?" David asks.
"No, but I'm leaving my place now." I answer, walking outside and getting into my red 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari, which is definitely my baby.
"I'm so excited!" He exclaimed.
"I'll see you in about twenty minutes." I say, trying to sound as enthusiastic and he.
"Au Revoir." He says before hanging up.

"Is Mr. Boss Man is his office?" I ask Olivia, his assistant.
"Yes." She answered, smiling from ear to ear. "He's very excited." I laugh. I get into the elevator and press the button for floor 12. I start feeling nauseous when I step out onto the twelfth floor.
What could possibly make him this excited to see me?
I walk down the hallway to his office. I knock.
"Autumn!" David greets, opening the door. "It's about damn time that you got your ass here." He pulls me into a hug. I notice a very attractive guy, probably around the age of 25, sitting on David's desk. His milk chocolate eyes staring into mine, a small smile plays across his lips.
"Sorry, I would've made it here sooner if there wasn't a lot of traffic." I apologize. We pull away from each other, the guy sitting on David's desk, never taking an eyes off of me.
"My, do you look stunning as always." David says, admiring me. I look back at the guy. He's examines my body, smirking.
"Thank you."
"Son," David says, turning to the guy. "Come here." His 'son' stands up and makes his way over to us, his eyes need leaving mine. "Autumn, this Quintin."
"I've heard a lot about you." Quintin says, taking my hand and kissing it lightly. His lips are soft.
"All good, I hope." I say blushing.
"Of course." He smiles. "Come sit down." I follow him over to the black leather sofa.
"So, other than meeting my son," David began, shutting his office door. "We have a proposition for you."
"I want you to come to New York City with me." Quintin says.
