Is she just another, Jane Doe?

Walking through the doors of the precinct with Maura slowly dropping behind her, Jane new this wasn't a case she wanted to solve for much longer. Not only was it distressing to see herself dead, but it was even more worrying to know that the killer may have actually been after the real Jane Rizzoli!

Jane stopped in her tracks with a blank and discerning look in her face before turning around to look at Maura,
"Maura, listen", Jane whispered, " We ARE going to find who did this, and in you best interests we're having another medical examiner look at the body"
"NO! I'M DOING IT!" Maura shouted back with a stern look, "THIS COULD'VE BEEN YOU! I'M EXAMINING THE BODY!" Maura exclaimed as she stormed off through towards the elevator. Jane didn't have time to even interrupt, but she knew that there was no way of getting Maura off of the case, and to just hang around in case she called.
"Maura", Jane shouted just as the elevator door began to open,
"I'm here if you need me..." She continued whilst releasing a sigh.
Maura didn't look back to acknowledge Jane, but you could see, even underneath a face that seemed to lack any emotion, the she cared and was happy Jane knew to leave her be.

Jane watched as the doors to the elevator shut whilst Maura continued to stare longingly at the floor. Jane continued walking towards the elevators herself before being greeted by Frost.
"Hey, Jane, you seem the next Jane doe?!" He said excitingly.
"Erm..well, erm", Jane stuttered, " Yes, yes I have" she replied, trying not to get too emotional.
"Right, okay! Well I'm running her fingerprints through the database now, and as soon as I get a hit, you'll be the first to know. Okay?"
"Yes, okay sure, and do a facial scan too. Removing the obvious match of course."
"Will do", Frost went on his merry way as Jane's stress followed him until she could no longer see him. Jane knew this wasn't going to be an easy case, but what made it harder was what her and Maura were going through, today was just going to be a tough day, but Jane's knew she'd march on through.
