Elena woke up in bed annoyed. Why had today be her special news casting? Maybe it was because she was so impulsive or the fact that she begged her boss for it. "Well, after today I'm free to be me." Elena said happily. Today was the Day. And, If she didn't do a good Newscast, well, she might've well said "There goes my career." So it has to be good! Elena studied over her lines and Got ready. A beige silk blouse with an obsidian black pencil skirt, a beige bag and black pumps. Elena also added diamond pearl drop earrings and a simple diamond cuff. Now, she was ready. "You look Great!" She told herself confidently. She grabbed a black Coat and went out into the cold, crisp air of a Fall morning. While Elena was trying to get to the office early she walked into Dunkin Donuts and got a poppyseed bagel and A Coffee. She then Hurriedly, slightly jogged to be at least 5 minutes early. When she made it to the office Meredith (the receptionist) came and gave her a hug "Long time, No see! How have you been?" She said Excitedly. "Pretty good, if you consider living in 1000 square feet good. She flashed a smile. "How's Cassie doing?" Cassie was Meredith's 15 year old daughter. "Oh, she's fine I guess." Meredith said kind of glumly. "You know how teenage girls are." "Well I better get up to the office." "Bye."
As she hurried up the steps she was surprisingly sad. Today would probably her last newscast. But, that would mean she would get her big fat paycheck and go on a shopping spree. "Shop till you drop, baby!" Elena thought happily.Chapter 2
Finally, it was over. The newscast was over. Now, Elena was gonna blow that money. "Now, where to head to first?" Elena thought. Elena decided. Bergdorf Goodmans for some Breakfast. Next up. Barneys. The best place, Ever. As she walked in the door crisp, cool air refreshed her. "Ah, Bliss." Elena thought with a smile. Elena sauntered over to the Dresses rack. She saw a Crisp, white sundress with a Jeweled belt and A big floppy sun hat. Great dress, except it was winter in New York and unless you wanted to die of hypothermia it probably wasn't a good idea to buy that dress. A Black dress caught her eye. Cap sleeved, Tea length and a bejeweled neckline. Perfect!
Now to go pay. Elena walked over to the counter. Breathe.CHAPTER 3
The snobby, gum chewing salesgirl was terrible. "530 dollars and 60 cents." She said annoyed. Elena hurriedly pulled out her cashed check and gave the exact change to the salesgirl. "I hope you have a lovely day!" Elena said hopefully. The salesgirl said "You too."
Justice.CHAPTER 4
The rest of the day was a blur. Money, Money, Money. Champagne, hours de ourves, and lace gloves. The life of a star, a fashion mogul even. Valentino, Fendi and Chanel. Cocktails at the 21 Club.
A day well spent.
