This is a guide on Betta fish care. Hope you enjoy it! :D

I learned all this information from TONS of Internet reading and my Instagram buds that have had many bettas and fish in general.

First things first, the water. You MUST have Betta water or water conditioner this is very important. Fish will die if put in plain tap water. Also another thing to do with water is water changes. These depend on the size of your tank or bowl. Well, if you have a bowl it should be a filtered, heated, 2.5 gallon bowl for a healthy betta. BUT that may be tough. So I suggest a tank at least 2.5 gallons. So back on water changes. For a 2.5+ gallon tank have a 100% water every 1-2 months. Use a gravel vac. every 1-2 weeks. Snails and shrimp are great for the tank and water too.

Next is tank mates. Some people think bettas can't have tank mates, though some bettas can. BUT some can't. Some bettas are VERY aggressive and will harm other creatures. But for aggressive or Less aggressive bettas snails and shrimps are great tank mates. I personally would say snails are best because they can't be eaten and have a shell for protection. But shrimp are good because they produce Way less waste. Good kinds of shrimp are ghost shrimp and cherry shrimp. A good snail is an Apple snail.

Next is decorations. It is great to have live plants in your tank, but learn about how to care for those plants first because if not cared for correctly they will die. Fake plants are great too! Silk plants are the safest, but some other materials are okay too. You can make decorations too. Hot glue and silicone are aquarium safe. You can also use plastic or foam cups. As long as the plastic isn't sharp and the foam cups don't have any little pieces falling off.

Last is good resources. For stores, locals petstores are good. Also Petco and Petsmart. Walmart is good for supplies too! For websites I use Ask.com, Yahoo.com, and Tetracare.com. Thank you to everyone who read all this! I hope it helped.
