Chapter six

On Monday morning Riley was dreading the lecture that she would get after school. Outside of her fathers classroom, before school began, Riley saw Maya at her locker.
"Maya!" She ran over to her.
"Hey."
"How's your arm?" She asked, taking a look at the bandage, peeking from her her sleeve.
"It's fine."
"Does it hurt?"
"A little."
"I'm am so so so very sorry."
"It's fine, it was an accident."
"Wow, what accident happened?" Asked Lucas, walking up to them with Farkle.
"Um, Maya stopped me from, um, h-hurting myself but I-uh, cut her in the process, by accident.
"Why would you do that, Riley?" Asked Farkle, in panic. The bell rang and Riley walked away.
"Maya?" Asked Lucas.
"She's gonna be the one to tell you."

That night, Riley sat down on the couch with her parents.
"Now, Riley. Is this the first time that you tried to do this?"
"Yes. I don't need this talk. It was a stupid thing and I don't want to be in pain. I know realize how stupid it was. This is not my main priority right now. I'm not going to do this. Can I please go so that I can fix my group of friends."
"We just want to know that you are safe, hun."
"I am. I need to fix this mess." They still gave her her lecture but Riley was focused on telling Farkle and Lucas.
At the end of the lecture, there was a knock on the door.
"Who's that?"
"It's Maya."
"I asked her to come so you can fix things because it seems like you guys had been fighting before it happened.
"Okay." Cory opened the door and the girls went to Riley's room.
