You were in school trying to concentrate on your work but couldn't help thinking about your boyfriend Hayes Grier, the Hayes Grier who was coming back to North Carolina today. You missed the scent he left when he hugged you and the feeling of his soft lips against your cheek. It had been almost 3 weeks since you last saw him.
*RING*
The end of last period was finally here and you rushed to the airport to see Hayes. Although you absolutely hated airports and couldn't stand smelling and touching the people on either side of you it was worth it to see Hayes.
"Guess who?" Said a raspy voice from behind you, you immediately noticed who that voice belonged to it belonged to Hayes.You turned around and squeezed the shit out of him. "I missed you so much Hayes" you whispered into his chest. "I missed you more Y/N" he whispered gently into your ear. "Race you to the car, first one there wins" Hayes shouted as he started sprinting to the parking lot. You chased after him as you shook your head and giggled at his enthusiasm, it was too cute not to.
Just as you were about to beat Hayes, he grabbed you from the waist and carried you bridal style all the way to the car. "Not on my watch Y/N, I always win, I mean how do you explain winning such a prize like you" Hayes said as he carried you. You couldn't help but blush at his words, you couldn't think of what to say next so you gently pecked his lips.
~at his house~
You exchanged your hellos with Hayes's mother who was preparing lunch then headed up to Hayes's room, him still carrying you. He put you down gently on his bed and prepared gossip girl for you both to watch.
After a few episodes had finished you had already fallen asleep on Hayes's chest, listening to his steady heartbeat and at that moment you realized it was him, the person you wanted to spend your whole life with, create a family with it was him you were truly in love with.
