Emely's POV
The party was finished and Luke dropped Mia and I off at our place.We were really tired so as soon as we went home we fell asleep.
I woke up and went to the kitchen to make myself breakfast.I decided to make pancakes and while I was going to the kitchen I saw Mia and Michael talking to each other."Oh,hey Michael"I said.He said"Hey,by the way Luke wanted to know if he could come over he said he wanted to talk to you"."Oh,do you know what he wants to talk about?"I said while flipping my pancake.Michael said "No,but he seemed upset when he called me"."Oh"I responded.
A few minutes later I heard the sound of my doorbell ringing.I opened the door and saw Luke crying."Luke what happened " I said worried."Can I talk to you alone"he said while tears ran down his face."Yeah come to my room"
We went to my room and he told me his Dad died in a car accident.He was sobbing and he could barely talk.He said he got a call from his mom in the middle of the night after the party.
"I am so sorry"I said while hugging him and I could feel his tears dropping onto my shoulder.We sat holding onto each other quietly until Michael and Mia came into the room asking what had happened.Luke told him why he was crying and he also told Mia.
I knew what it felt like to lose someone who was really close to you.My younger sister had died in a car accident too.I started crying too just by thinking about her.Luke left after a few minutes to go visit his mom to see how she was feeling.
Me,Mia,and Michael were trying to think of ways on how to cheer up Luke."We should give him some time though we don't wanna keep pressuring him to be happy"I said.
" Yeah how about when he's feeling a bit better we should go to an amusement park or fair"Mia said.
"I agree"Michael said while looking at Mia.I said"Yeah"
About 3 weeks passed and I decided to call Luke.I asked if he wanted to come over and I said that Mia was gonna go to Michaels place.He said that he wanted to.
I heard my doorbell ringing and I opened the door and saw Luke."Hi Emely"he said."Hi how have you been feeling?"I said."Honestly I'm getting a bit better because I've been spending a lot of time with my Mom"Luke said while he smiled.
"Oh that's great,do you wanna watch How I Met Your Mother?"I said."Yeah"Luke said.Luke and I decided to order pizza.A few minutes later our pepperoni pizza got there and we sat and watched a few episodes.
After watching almost a season of How I Met Your Mother I decided to ask Luke if he wanted to go to an amusement park with Michael,Mia,and I in a 2 days.He said yes and it was getting late.
But when he was about to leave I felt him leaning in and he smoothly kissed me and I felt him smiling."Bye"he said and he left.
