Looking For Something Else (Sam Pottorff)

Sam was the boy in class that everyone wanted. Every girl in the school had found a way to ask him out one way or another, except for a select few shy girls that you happened to be apart of. Nobody knew why, but Sam always rejected the hot cheerleaders and class leaders that asked him out. He was the one everyone wanted, but nobody got him. You'd lived 3 houses down from him since the 5th grade and he'd been there for you after your first break up with the boy who had promised you forever but didn't know that forever was longer than 4 months. He'd been one of your closest friends since then and you didn't even know why he rejected all those girls that wanted him so badly. When you asked he simply replied with "I don't know, maybe I'm just looking for something else."

One day when you and Sam where out on your usual walk, he pulled out his camera and started to vlog. You were used to it but hated being on camera. You usually ignored him but something he was saying caught your attention, he was in the middle of an announcement to his viewers. This is what caught your attention: "... And I know I promised you guys this surprise last week but I couldn't do it until just now. So here's a familiar face you all know and love **turning the camera on you** and as you know..." from there he goes on explaining everything he loves about you and all the reasons he loves being around you. Towards the end of his list he turns the camera to include you both in the frame with his arm around you and says "... And this is the something I've been looking for all along. She's everything I'll ever want and I figured since you all already love her like I do there won't be any issues with this." He turns to you and you know what's happening before he asks, and you have tears in your eyes and your hand over your mouth in shock. At last he says "Will you please do me the honor of having the most beautiful girl, inside and out, as my girlfriend for as long as we can keep this going?" Without a seconds hesitation you say yes and kiss him like you'd always wanted to and he ends the vlog.
