|Young! Oikawa Tooru x Young! Female Reader|

*Note: Reader in this story is Iwaizumi's younger sister.

---

Three young children can be seen walking through an umber-brown, ancient forest. The grasses cracked beneath their feet due to the recent dry spell. The tree's soft whisper against the wind was like a lullaby, soothing and warm.

[Name] shielded her eyes as the sun shone down through the tree branches, the warm rays tingling her skin.

The siblings watched as Oikawa walked back and forth, mumbling incoherent words as he looked at the news article held in his hands.

"Oikawa,"

"Yes, Iwa-chan?" Oikawa stopped his movement, turning to look at Iwaizumi.

"We are lost, aren't we?" Iwaizumi deadpanned.

Oikawa's body froze, "E-eh? Of course not! We are almost there!"

Feeling his body tremble under the menacing glare directed to him by Iwaizumi. Oikawa stuck out his tongue as he strikes out one of his 'famous' a poses, "Teehee?"

"Oi-ka-wa" Iwaizumi purposely dragged out Oikawa's name as his cracked his fingers.

Oikawa shut his eyes as he braced himself for the incoming pain, only to flinch as he felt cold water droplets on his face. 'Eh? Water...?'

Oikawa blinked his eyes, rubbing it until his vision could be deemed acceptable.

"Wuahh! It's raining!" Oikawa flapped his arms around.

"Idiot, don't just stand there! Go find a shelter!"

---

"Ah, I think I see a building!"

An abandoned building entered their vision.

Even though it was daytime, there is something troubling about an old empty building in the middle of a forest. The boarded-up windows on the ground floor and the rusty, padlocked grilles across apartment doors and corridors gave them an eerie feeling.

Oikawa noticed that the bolt and padlock had somehow missed each other. Indicating that, the door hadn't been locked properly. Sliding the bolt across and pulled, the door creaked.

The three young children cautiously entered the building.

The dust, cobwebs, and graffitis on the walls, corners and remains of furniture that lay disorderedly cluttered on the floor. The smell of rot filled their nose, the sound of creaking of the floor, the touch of a rough surface, the sight of a horror scene.

A cool shudder trickles down [Name]'s spine as she glanced around nervously, feeling extremely uncomfortable. The ominous thunderclaps didn't help and the gloomy clouds hovering above the red-tiled rooftops only added to the dream-like ambience.

"Hajime-ni..." [Name] whimpered, clinging tightly onto his shirt.

"[F/n]—"

"Don't worry, [N/n]-chan! I will protect you!" Oikawa declared loudly, striking another one of his silly poses.

Growing an irk mark on his forehead, Iwaizumi head-butted Oikawa, "Protect?! Aren't you the reason why we are here in the first place?!"

"Ouch, ouch! It hurts, Iwa-chan!"

"Yes, I'm glad that it hurt and I hope it hurts more."

"You're so mean!"

Watching the scene being played out in front of her, [Name] could not help but laugh. Knowing that she had Oikawa and her brother by her side set her at ease. At least, she knows that she will be able to count on them to protect her from danger.

Extended:

"See? Holding hands like this will make things less scary." Currently the three children were holding each other's hands.

The silence between the three of them was soothing until Oikawa let out a scream of bloody murder. Well, more like a high pitched girly shriek, hurting the ears of both siblings.

"A-a...snake!" He jumped onto both siblings, almost suffocating them in process, "Save me, [N/n]-chan! Iwa-chan!"

"...Tooru-ni... It's only a garden hose...?"

"..."

As if on cue, Oikawa received a kick given to him by Iwaizumi, "Don't go scaring us like that, you idiot!"

"Wah! I'm so sorry!"
