Part: 1
Diana's P.O.V
"Zayn come over here! Look!" I shouted at my childhood friend. He ran over as fast as he could. "What is it?" He questioned. "I have no clue!" I replied with a giggle. "Let me see!" Sophie said as she pushed her way in between us. "Guys it's a baby bird!" Sophie exclaimed. "Awww it's so cute!" I squealed. "Well, where are it's parents?" Zayn questioned. I could see out of the corner of my eye Sophie's eyes started watering.
-FLASHBACK-
Sophie's P.O.V- "Mommy and Daddy aren't you going to put your seatbelt on?" I asked them. "It's only a 2 minute drive back to our house sweetheart." My mom replied. She turned up the radio and my favorite song came on. I was quietly humming to myself listening to my mom and dad's conversation. As L glanced out the window I saw a pickup truck coming straight towards our car. "M-m-mom...!" I yelled. Next thing I knew I was in a hospital bed with a hospital gown on. I was slowly recalling the events that previously occurred. I shifted to the right of the bed only to see something a child should never see. I saw my mother, her body lying there stiff as a stick. She was hooked up to a machine and the only noise I could make out was the sound my breathing and two beeping noise. I turned my head to the other beeping noise and lying there was my dad. His body was weak and lifeless. "Mom... Dad... ANSWER ME!" I screamed with tears streaming down my scraped up face. I looked over at my mom, she slowly turned her head to face mine and choked, "I love you baby girl." BEEEEP. "No, no, NOO! MOM PLEASE NO!" I shouted. "Mom please." I cried. My mom was gone, forever. I will never be able to see her ever again. She won't be able to hold me in her arms or give me good night kisses. I sobbed out loud and then I turned my head over to my dad. "Dad please don't leave me!" I croaked. "And I love you too." He whispered. Those were the last words that ever came out of my dad's mouth before the beep went off. I don't have anyone to tell me they love me or tell me they care about me. My life is now ruined! My parents... they're no longer here! The next thing that happened was the doctors rushing over to mom and dad, trying everything they could to bring them back to life. I just sat there, blank minded until everything fell dark and I completely blacked out.
- OUT OF FLASHBACK -
Diana's P.O.V
"Sophie it's okay! You have Zayn and me! We love you very much! Please don't cry!" I said comforted her while giving her a hug. "Yeah we love you Soph!" Zayn said as he squeezed me into a hug. So basically it ended up a group hug and somehow we ended up on the ground. The green grass was so soft against my skin but so itchyat the same time. We all piled off each other and then Zayn suggested that we should dance to some music. We all agreed and then Zayn ran off to go search for the radio. Once he was gone it was just me and Sophie, my mind was racing about whether I should tell Sophie that I have feelings for Zayn. I decided why not, "Sophie... I have to tell you something. "I started. "Yeah sure what is it?" Sophie responded. Okay here goes nothing!" "I think I have feelings towards Zayn" I blurted out. Sophie looked at me with wide eyes. "Are you sure? I mean c'mon we are only like 10 years old and Zayn's 11! But you guys would be so cute together! You just have to wait!" Sophie exclaimed. Sophie made me realize something; I need to wait it out and see if I still have feelings for my best feiend. Zayn suddenly came back witj a radio in his hand and went to go look for an outlet to plug it in. Once the radio was plugged in he turned the dial and the voices blasted through the speakers. Zayn started singing and he sounded like an angel! We started dancing like maniacs, doing cartwheels and jumping in the air. "Let's go check out the baby bird again!" I suggested.
Zayn's P.O.V
"Let's go check out the baby bird again!" Diana suggested. "Okay! I'll race you there!" I shouted. "You're going down!" Sophie yelled. I started running as fast at my feet could take me. "I won!" I smirked. "You cheated!" Diana cried. "Did not" I replied. "Did too" Diana said. "Guys cut it out!" Sophie voiced. After bickering for 2 minutes Sophie finally broke us up. Diana and Sophie bent down next to the bird and Diana picked it up. The feathers of the bird were painted with light blue. I reckon it's a blue jay. I also bent down and lightly stroke the birds back. Diana looked so careful with the bird and it sent tingles through me. I think I have feelings for one of my best friends... but I'm.not sure. Diana's black hair fell shoulder length to her back. She looked to pretty and she looked like she could be a mother of her own. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of someone screaming. "DINNER!" Diana's mom shouted.
