[The Prompt: Let's start with something swet and simple. Introduce yourself as a character of your choice, writing in first person! It can be an original character or a person you come up with yourself.]

I’m not a very pretty girl, and I don’t mind one bit. Most of the men in the town ignore me because I’m not the standard of beauty to them, as I’m very plain looking. In a crowd of people, I get completely lost to myself and all others who even care to look my way, being very small and wide makes me hard to spot in a mass of people. I have hips—that are as wide as my broad shoulders—that I, and most other people who take the time to glance my way, find perfectly awful. But when people did bother to look past my awkward body, they find that my face is quite pleasant to look at when my plump, pink lips have a smile spread across him, and my large blue eyes--that remind most everyone of a doe—are quite lovely when they are lit with the light of the golden sun on a beautiful French afternoon. Maybe I don’t seem very beautiful, but the Les amis de l’ABC find me positively lovely, though I might be just a flag maker, I’m always in a happy mood, and I’m very seldom glum which makes the dark matter of the revolution less than gloomy. I’ve sewn many a flag and anything else that the soldiers might need, and I’m always happy to do so. I make myself believe that I am important to the cause, that the revolutions needs a simple flag-maker like myself, and that all of the members of the Friends of the ABC would care if I were to live or die, and sometimes I genuinely believe that I matter to some of the men, and that’s what makes supporting the Barricade worth it.
