Chapter 2

Little Wolf's POV

The next morning I wake up and look next to me at the sleeping form of my little brother. I ruffle the fur around his ear before I get up and make my way down to the kitchen. Rose is letting us stay here after all, the least I could do is make us all some breakfast. So, with my hair messed up and clothes scrunched, I rummaged through her cabinets and find some pancake batter and some bacon in her fridge. I get it cooking on the stove with the smell of bacon wrapping around me like a blanket.

My wolf senses kick in and I hear Roses' footsteps upstairs as she goes over to our room, most likely to check on us, only to discover I'm not there. She joins me in the kitchen a few moments later. "Mornin' Sharps" she says giving me a sleepy smile.

I turn around and lay a plate of bacon and pancakes in front of her. "Morning to ya too, dearie." I turn back to the stove making a plate for Swift and myself.

"Do you want me to wake Swift up so he can eat with us?" She asks me, as she stands up and walks to the fridge to grab a glass of milk. "You can help yourself to anything to drink, by the way."

"Nah, he'll be out soon. And thanks."

"Who's askin' 'bout me?" Swifts' gruff voice asks from the doorway of the kitchen. I turn and hand him a plate before grabbing my own. I lean against the counter while I eat, but I notice Swift take a spot at one the stools at the island by Rose.

"I was askin' bout ya." Rose answers his question, as she begins to eat finally.

"Ah okay" He says around a mouthful of food. It's probably one of the biggest meals he's had in his life, as sad as that sounds.

I clean off my plate in the sink. I start running a weapons inventory in my head, before I get to one of the most important ones. "Hey, ya brought Amy right?" Swiftpaw nods his head and a smile suddenly lights up my face.

"What's Amy?" Rose asks as she stares between the both of us very confused.

I let out a happy squeal and I run into the room, and then return back to the kitchen with a M-110SASS. "It's a sniper bi pod, with a 7.62x51mm round, armour piercing ammo that's named after my younger sis. She was with my mother when she was taken; it's named after her cause she liked me so well." Quick as a flash all the memories of when she was lost come back, and I find myself quickly tearing up at them.

"Oh okay. I'm so sorry. I bet she was amazing and just like both of you." She looks between us both with sadness in her brown eyes. I can only imagine how this must take a toll on her; she seems like the type to want to take everyone elses' pain away from them and just feels worse when she can't. She picks up Swift's empty plate and her own and begins to clean the dishes quietly.

"She is, and we're going to find them both. It's just that she's newly born, and their shifts are random. And our mother is protective over her, yes, but they may very well kill one to get to the other.' My voice turned powerful as my wolf was begging to get out at the sound of one of them being killed, "But if anyone touches either one of them they're dead; ALL OF 'EM." There's probably a look of pure rage in my eyes, but I feel Swiftpaw take the gun from my hands that are slowly growing claws that could slice through a mans body effortlessly.

"With your consent, today we will turn you." Swiftpaw looks to Rose as he says this.

Rose softly gasps as her hands fly to her mouth in shock. "Oh my god, that's awful. I'm so sorry. But right now you should calm down Sharps. It's alright. We're gonna find 'em both." She puts a comforting hand on my shoulder to try and relax me from the rage. She looks over at Swift, once she realizes I'm mostly calmed down, and says "You want to turn me? Today?! Are you serious?!"
