Chapter 3

Joeys P.O.V

When I got home, I checked my phone. I saw that I missed about 3 calls and 3 texts. The texts read:

"Joey, i think we need to talk. ~Shane"

"Please dont ignore me. Call back when you get this message. ~Shane"

"Joey, i know your mad but please write back to me. We need to talk. Can we talk tomorrow? Thanks. Please at least text me when you get this. ~Shane"

I felt really bad but i just couldnt talk to him. Just not right now. Shane is one of my best friends and i cant loose him. So i decided to text him in the morning. Maybe then id have the guts to talk to him. So i placed my phone on my nightstand and went to sleep.

*********7 hours later***********

i woke up and its about 5 a.m in the morning. i tried going back to sleep but i just couldnt. I picked up my phone to check the time. it was 5:18 a.m. Since i had my phone, i mind as well use it. When i unlocked my phone, it went straight to Shanes text messeages. I thought to myself, am i ready? I couldnt avoid him forever so i decided to text him.

"Hey shane. Why did you text me so early?..." i lied "Anyway sure im up for it. So when and where are we going to talk?"

Im not really up to talking to Shane now but i felt so bad. I knew Shane wouldnt reply so i made myself breaktfast. I made pancakes and eggs. It was now 6 a.m and im eating my breaktfast. When i finished it was about 6:30 a.m. So i took off my shirt and decided to play Hungercraft. After a few hours of Hungercraft, its now 10:47, i decided to check my phone. Nothing. So i turned off the game and went to netflix. I went to see what to watch. There was this scary movie called The Ring. Ive always hated scary movies, but i wanted to challenge myself. So i played the movie. I got up to the part where the mom watches the video (they say if you watch it, they will call you and you will die in five days) and the video finished. Her phone rings and they said five days. What scared me was that after i watched it, my phone rang. But it was from shane. So i picked it up.

Joey: H-he-hello?

Shane: Hey Joey. Why do you sound so scare-

Joey: NOTHING, nothing. So whats up?

Shane: Nothing much. So when are we going to talk? You know, face to face?

Joey: Yea, i know. Ummm.......later i guess?

Shane: O..........k but where?

Joey: I dont know, at my house?

Shane: Ok i just wanted to know. Can i come over now?

I do need someone to be with right now.

Joey: Yea, sure.

Shane: Ok see you then.

Joey: Ok bye

Shane: Bye

We hung up. I continued to hug the pillow, tight, and continued watching the movie. During the middle of the movie, the bell rang. I looked out the peep hole and i couldnt tell who it was.

Shanes P.O.V

When i woke up, it was about 10:56 a.m. So i checked my phone and it said '1 new message from Joey Graceffa <333'. So i read it and thought "what does he mean texted him so early? i texted him at 7:43. Maybe he got it late." So i called him. After i called him, i got ready to go to his house. Then i made myself some breaktfast. I ate it and walked outside. I walked to my car and drove to his house. I knocked on his door. For some odd reason, i decided to wear my black hoodie and my black cap. Maybe thats why he brought a baseball bat with him and asked who it was the way he did. He almost hit me with the bat.

Shane: JOEY!!!! WATCH THE BAT!!!!

Joey: Oh shane. Im sorry. I was watching a scary movie for the frist time and in the movie, when tjey called, u called. When they came to the door to murder, u came to the door. Its......its.........its just complicated.
