Searching for a job

As I walked through the small convenience store, I picked up a news paper. I walked up to the checkouts handed them the thin paper. "That'll be $2.50 please." Joe the cashier said in a monotone voice. I dug through my pockets and got the last little bit of my change. Good thing I played my rent this month so I only have to worry about food. I walked back to my small apartment. I unlocked the door and slipped inside, looking for a marker. "Marker? Marker? Aha!" I said as I found one. I sat at my cold, wooden table and flipped the paper to the classifieds. Paper boy? "Ha, no thanks" I said aloud. "Test Driver? Nope!" My brown eyes scanned over the wrinkled paper. "Hmm, night guard? And what in the world is Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?" I circled the night guard job and grabbed my phone. I entered the 10 digit phone number and held the phone to my ear, throwing my long hair back. "Hello?" I said into the speaker. "I'm calling about the night guard job!" I said nervously. "Oh! Okay, um, our current night guard just quit, so when would you be able to start?" The man sounded anxious. "Um today, actually. I'm in need of money badly so I can start anytime, really." I said quickly, praying I'd get this job. It sounded easy. "Okay well, if you could start tonight, your shift starts at Midnight and ends at 6am. And you will get free pizza and the pay is fairly good." The nice man said. "Okay, thank you! Ill be there tonight!" I said too quickly. "Alrighty, see you then." CLICK. I set my phone down and smiled. That was easy. I looked Catherine to see it was already 5pm. I decided to get some shut eye before work. I got out of my chair and put my hair into a pony tail and crawled into the warm bed. I didn't realize how tired I was until my face hit the pillow. I yawned and slowly put an alarm n my phone for 10:30 and closed my eyes. Last thing I saw was the alarm clock, saying 5:04 pm.
