Cas knew he was dreaming because Dean was staring at him with lust in his eyes. That was definitely not normal for Dean, and it was also very awkward for Cas. He stared back at Dean in confusion. "D-dean, wh-what are you d-doing?" Cas stuttered nervously, beginning to inch slowly away from Dean, who was staring into the depths of Cas's steely blue eyes. "Cas...... I'm sorry." Dean said, snapping out of his daze and sighing. "I didn't mean to startle you, but... I have a confession to make." Cas was still totally bemused, but he said "Ok Dean, say it. I won't laugh or judge or anything like that." and stared sincerely at Dean's worried face. "Okay... Here goes....." Dean took a deep breath. "Cas, I've really liked you for some time now, ever since we met, and I was wondering if...... I-i could maybe try something with you? We don't have to of course, and I would never hurt you...." Dean trailed off as he saw Cas's astounded face and felt the heat of rejection on his cheeks. "It's.....it's ok if you don't like me back. I understand..." He turned away, head low, a few silent tears streaming down his rapidly fading cheeks. Before he could walk away, he was whipped around and pulled into a tight embrace. Cas sighed happily and then wondered why he would do such a thing. Dean pulled away hopefully and said "Does..... D-does this m-mean you like me b-back?" He stuttered, half worried, half ecstatic. "Of course I do, Dean! I was wondering when you'd notice the looks I gave you whenever you weren't looking." Cas grinned, then cringed inwardly. What kind of a nightmare was this? Dean smiled wide, then hesitated. "Cas, could I try that.... Thing I said I wanted to do? I promise to never hurt you and you just have to tell me to stop if you want..." He stopped when he saw Cas grinning from ear to ear. "Of course. I'd trust you with my life, Dean."  Dean smiled, then leaned in and kissed Cas slowly and gently on the lips. They both closed their eyes and embraced each other, still wound tightly together. Cas barely had time to wonder where that absolute nightmare had come from and to decide that he most definitely would not tell Dean about this one before his eyes snapped open and he realized that he was in another dream. This time, the strange blonde girl, who he assumed was his daughter (though he had no idea how since he'd never even kissed a girl, much less slept with one), was back, yelling at him "Dad! Please! Help me! Dad!" Then her voice changed from a teenage girl to his mother's, saying "Talk to Dean, Cas. He will give you answers. You just need to look in the right places." Then the girls voice changed once more, becoming Dean's and saying softly, "Cas, wake up. We're here. Come on Cas, please wake up. I can't carry you in, you've been eating too many cheeseburgers." Dean said with a laugh like twinkling stars, and then his eyes opened for real. He blinked a few times and sat up to see Dean smirking at him. "Morning, Sleeping Beauty. Sleep good?" Cas nodded, then looked out the window. They were parked at the Thunderbird Diner, a little diner near Elkton, Virginia. "Let's go in and we can talk about your dreams some more," Dean said, then got out of the Impala and started walking away. Cas stumbled out and jogged after him. It was then that he'd noticed that Dean had stopped and was tensed up, his hand wavering over the demon knife in his belt. "Cas, get behind me. Now." Cas did as he was told and peeked slowly around Dean's shoulder. What he saw almost made him sprint back to the Impala. There, standing only a few feet away, was a monstrously pudgy looking man in a black jacket and a slightly under trimmed brown beard. When he spoke, he had a gravelly British accent and dark, mischievously twinkling eyes. "Hello, Squirrel. Did you miss me?"
