The past few months had sucked. Actual, yes...Not playful, but real fighting had began to increase rapidly between Chase and I, the closer I became with Logan and Jerehmy. Chase didn't realize he was just dumbly pushing me away.
What really bothered me was his personality. For some scarce moments, he seemed to be acting "real", and my heart would stop as I wondered if I had feelings for him. (Trying to lean towards the "negative" side.) But then he'd laugh it off later and never act serious again for another couple weeks. It was like he was battling himself internally and we kept having more and more fights. Stupid fights though.
Ex 1:
"Chase, put a freaking shirt on."
"Sorry, my abs arn't as delicious as Jerehmy's. Don't worry. I'm leaving to go meetup with some St.Mary girls soon anyways."Ex 2:
"Ohmigod drop the effing attitude Tay, what the hell is wrong?"
"Nothing."
"I bet it's about that stupid kid, Mason, from your past that you still hope to magically seek out someday. He's probably long gone, TAY."
"Shut the hell up, Chase. You wonder why I don't trust you? And why I never talk to you? You're an impulsive, conceited, egotistical, COMPLETELY INSENSITIVE ASSHOLE."Ex 3:
"Chase what's wrong? Stop shutting me out."
"I don't think you understand the whole 'go away' thing with guys. It actually means GET THE HELL AWAY. MY PAST HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU AND I DON'T WANT YOUR FAKE SYMPATHY."
"You suck."Ex 4:
"I really hate studying next to you."
"Tay, It's not my fault you have abnormal ears and can hear my music through the earphones."
"Of course I can, Chase. You're blasting the songs at the absolute FREAKING MAX."
"THEN GO STUDY SOMEWHERE ELSE."
"YEAH?"
"YEAH. GO."
"FINE I WILL. DON'T EXPECT ME TO BE BACK FOR BEDTIME."
"HAVE A JOLLY TIME SLEEPING AROUND."
"ARE YOU CALLING ME A SLUT?"
"YOU'RE NOT DENYNG IT ARE YOU?"
"OH YEAH. COMING FROM THE GUY THAT USES AND DROPS GIRLS LIKE TISSUES."~~
Needless to say, we would start fights over stupid things. Stupid, utterly ridiculous and avoidable things. The fights were avoidable, but not completely inevitable. He ticked me off a crap load more than I thought he would and apparently, I had all my "annoying habbits."
Things were really tense because we would basically either be fighting or just ignoring eachother alltogether.
So that had been where we ended up a few months into the year.
Completely indifferent and filled with rage.
Where had our old friendship gone? Oh, right...Down the goddamn drain.
During mid-term season, we had only helped one another once...And that had also ended in a fight...
"Chase, I need help with all this geometry crap. That stuff we were supposed to learn freshman year? Yeah, I didn't do too well in school so I'm hella confuzed. Could you...maybe help me?"
"Use the chart in the back of the book. Proofs and reasons are basically explaining everything, and I'll explain the rest to you later, if you still haven't figured it out.", Chase sighed deeply.
"Thanks, I could help you in history if you wanted.", I added stupidly. Oh so idiotically.
"Who told you I needed help in history?", Chase spat back sharply.
