Avery's P.O.V

"I wanna go to the cliff" I blurt out.

"What?" Ally's head snaps up.

I've just been released and I'm staying at Ally's and Cody's because they wouldn't let me stay with Jake.

"I wanna go to the cliff"

"Why?"

"Because I want to remember. Jake is great but I've been having these dreams and you must have a reason to hate him so much. And I just want to remember."

Ally nods.

"Are you gonna join me or stay here?" I ask as I get up to grab the keys.

"Well I can't let you drive you still have remains of a concussion" she says and follows me out the door.

The drive is silent and I think and think and try to remember but I fail.

Like I always do.

I want to remember.

As soon as possible.

I want to know what really happened.

We pull up to the platform and I'm scared to get out of the car.

"Are you coming?" Ally asks opening the car door.

"I- I'm not sure"

"I didn't drive all the way up here and get dirt all over my freshly washed car just for you to chicken out come on" she says partly annoyed partly joking.

I get out of the car and wait.

In movies the girl normally gets a flashback and is totally shocked and all.

But I don't feel anything.

No memories.

No flashbacks.

Nothing.

"Tell me something about my relationship with Jake just before the incident" I say hoping my mind would catch something to recognise.

"Well uh how do I start" she nervously chuckles.

Not a good sign.

"On Thursday night before the "incident" " she starts, finger quoting the word incident.

"You called me crying and sobbing your little heart out because Jake did something"

Nothing

"You never actually told me what he's been doing but the bruises and your sensibility over being touched spoke for itself" she chuckles but stops quickly.

"Keep going" I whisper.

"I picked you up like I always did when you called me sobbing. And uh you stayed the night and then the next night Jane took us to that party and uh" she suddenly starts smiling.

"What happened at the party?" I ask.

"Well we met the boys and uh you were pretty drunk. Like super drunk. I told you to stop but you yelled at me saying you needed to forget your life. We got into a fight and I left Luke to take care of you"

"Then what"

"I don't know I left the party"

"What happened after the party and before the cliff?" I ask still hoping for something to bring my memory back.

Ally goes to sit on the front of the car.

I join her.

"I didn't see you until Luke and I found you on the ground"
