Meeting my roommate

I sat down at the desk in my dorm room. I looked at my timetable Amy Summer. I smiled. My name on a Uni timetable. I grabbed my bag, pulled out my laptop and placed it on my desk. I whipped out my phone and clicked on my best friends name

"Hey Rachel I am sitting in my dorm right now, can't believe it" I texted her

I sat back in my swirly chair. I had been sitting there for a few minuets when I heard the door open. I turned round to see the most beautiful blonde haired girl.

"Hey" she said flicking her long, wavy hair behind her "you must be Amy"

"Yeah I am, you must be Katie" I said

"Yeah, so is this my bed then?" She asked strutting over to the other bed

"Yes it is" I said as she sat on her bed and set her bags down beside her

"So are you excited to be here? Cause I am" I asked her

"I am so excited to be here, I am glad that we are roommates cause I did not want a weirdo sharing a room with me" she said as we both gave a little laugh

She was nice and very confident. I however am not confident but I hoped that we could be good friends soon. As she started to unpack, so I did. At first we unpacked quietly until she had set up her stereo and put music on through her phone. I loved the band she was playing and soon we were dancing and singing.

"You like this band too?" I asked her

"Duh, I love this band" she replied and then went back to unpacking and singing

Yes! We have something in common. University is actually going to be as amazing as the movies and as I hoped

After we had unpacked we decided to talk.

"So what is your major?" Katie's asked me

"Music, what about you?" I said

"Oh so your creative what instruments do you play? I major in English" she said

"English that's nice. I sing and play the piano" I replied

"Wow I can't wait to hear you sing" she said

"Haha that's not going to happen" I said blushing a little

"I am going to hear you sing, if it's the last thing I do" she shouted in a funny voice. We both laughed for ages and when we were finished we talked some more. I could tell this was the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
