Moriarty closed her eyes. So Sherlock was back. Good. She had been starting to get bored.

There was a noise behind her and she opened her eyes again.

“Sebastian,” she said, annoyed. “What are you doing here?”

“It’s about Sherlock Holmes. He’s-”

“Back. I know.”

Sebastian frowned. “I thought…”

She smiled and looked at him. “I don’t pay you to think, honey.”

Sebastian smiled slightly, used to her abuse. Then he frowned again. “If I may ask….” He hesitated.

“He asked me to fake his death.”

“Then, why make him die in the first place?”

She shrugged. “Fun.”

Sebastian sighed. “Of course.”

She stood up, making her way across the room. “You should go now,” she told him. “I’m expecting company.”

Sebastian paused. Of course Moriarty wouldn’t let him in on her plans. Nor why she let Sherlock pretend to be dead for three years. “See ya,” he said finally, turning and leaving.

As he walked out, a figure in a black trenchcoat walked past.

She looked up at him, suddenly shy and timid. “S-sh-Sherlock? You’re…back?”

Sherlock smiled. "Miss Molly Hooper.”
